(Daytime, Yongen Jaya, Café Leblanc)
Days went by, Medjed's deadline grew which put fear on everyone, and Futaba was still asleep; before everyone knew it, the deadline hit, the café was dead, which was expected for today; with the exception of Luna who waited for Akira.
"Today's Medjed's deadline, and Futaba's still asleep, this cant be good", Morgana stated with a worried tone as Akira approached the bar counter.
"Morning", Sojiro mumbled
"What's up", Akira asked taking a seat next to Luna
"There's something I came to do", Sojiro said as he then brought out three cups of coffee
"Today is the day Wakaba passed, I do this every year, I got cups for you both", Sojiro said sliding the two cups of coffee to the two
"Thank you", Luna said as everyone then drank their coffee's
"Futaba reminds me so much of her mother", Sojiro stated, "she's a smart girl, doesn't just go with the flow, either; they ruled out Wakaba's death as suicide, but I have my doubts",
"Doubts, could she have been killed", Morgana muttered
"Supposedly there were people who wanted to take her research and use it for their own benefit, don't get me wrong", Sojiro stated, "I have no lick of evidence, that's why I haven't told Futaba any of this; I don't want to cause her anymore trouble",
"It sounded like she had suspicions of her own based on what she said in the palace", Morgana said
"I remember Wakaba telling me, "I think I might die", I only brushed it off as a joke, but I should've taken it seriously; that's another reason I took Futaba in... Redemption", Sojiro said with a sigh, "she went through horrible things, those heartless people just yelled at the poor girl, hey... do you know how to heal emotional scars",
"They'll heal on their own", Luna explained
"I agree, I'm waiting for it to happen, but...", Sojiro said before he was interrupted by the door opening, and was shocked when he saw Futaba enter the café
"Futaba", Sojiro said in shock as Futaba walked by sitting right next to Luna and drank some coffee
"It's cold", Futaba muttered
"Huh", Sojiro said confused
"You cant sell this", Futaba stated
"N-never mind that... how did you get here", Sojiro asked confused
"Uh... I walked", Futaba stated
"You're ok", Sojiro asked, surprised
"Was that bad", Futaba asked
"Th-that's not it, I'm just shocked to see you out of the house", Sojiro said
"Uh... I'm sorry I worried you", Futaba said, shyly
"It's all right", Sojiro said calmly
"By the way, what's the date today", Futaba asked
"Eh, it's uh... it's the 21st", Sojiro said before walking away from the trio
"I feel like I'm forgetting something", Futaba mumbled
"Medjed", Akira mumbled
"Oh, that's it, let's take care of it now, come", Futaba stated as she got up and began walking out of Leblanc, Akira and Luna following behind her; the three reached Sojiro's house and entered Futaba's room; she then sat at her computer, "It's my turn to help out, Medjed... now how do we cook them",
