"Long time no see", Crow stated walking up to the thieves
"Why's he here", Oracle asked in confusion
"I'm impressed that you managed to deceive me, it seems I underestimated your abilities", Crow stated, "you truly are interesting, quiet, yet possessing the courage and determine to take action; under different circumstances, we could've been great rivals, or perhaps even friends",
"It's not too late", Joker said
"Akechi, you can still change... your a puppet in Shido's twisted game", Light explained
"Why are you cooperating with someone like Shido", Queen asked
"Cooperating, a puppet, I don't care for Shido, I'm just his son that he doesn't know or care about", Crow stated which made the Phantom Thieves shocked
"Shido is your father", Fox asked confused
"I resented him, but he was a high-ranking official then, I couldn't do anything back then; but... I then learned about the cognitive world, someone gave me a chance", Crow stated with a laugh, however, Queen calmly walked up to him... and punched him across the face
"Who cares about Shido, about what he did to you in the past, we're not murderers, Shido turned you into a murderer", Queen explained, "It's just like Luna said, you're a puppet in Shido's twisted game; although I'm not sure what will happen to you out in the real world, you can still redeem yourself",
"And how, by wasting years of my life in a prison cell", Crow yelled
"If you help us change Shido's heart, we might be able to either lighten your sentence, or let you not serve time at all", Queen stated, "but as of right now, this choice is yours, keep walking down the path your father forced you down on, or help us and redeem yourself",
Crow began thinking about the choices presented to him, to the Phantom Thieves, he seemed to be in deep thought; Queen's words seemed to have gotten through to him, however, before Crow could say anything a cognitive version of Akechi walked up to the group, his gun aimed at Crow which shocked the Phantom Thieves.
"I'll deal with the rest of you later, Captain Shido's orders... he has no need for broken puppets", the Cognitive Akechi stated which made Crow's eyes widen; as in a quick motion, Crow pulled out his gun and shot the Cognitive version of himself then shot passed the Phantom Thieves hitting a control switch which dropped a metal door, separating the Phantom Thieves from both Crow, and the Cognitive Akechi.
"I don't think you'll forgive me for what I did, but please... change my father's heart for me, I don't know if I'll make it", Crow asked
"Akechi-kun", Queen shouted
"We promise", Joker said, soon after gunshots rang out then faded
"I... don't have any readings, I'm not sure if he made it out alive or not", Oracle stated
"Let's fulfil his request though, let's take down Shido", Queen stated as everyone then made their way back towards the large door; the Phantom Thieves put the letters of introduction in the door and was presented with a what appeared to be an assembly hall, the treasures distortion in sight.
"We've secured a route to the treasure, now all that's left is to send the Calling Card", Mona stated
"But... how are we supposed to get a Calling Card to him", Skull asked
"I already have it covered, we can send it tomorrow if we want to", Oracle stated
"The sooner, the better", Joker said as everyone then nodded their heads and left Shido's Palace
(Real World, The Next Day, Yongen Jaya, Café Leblanc)
"Alright, so how're we gonna send the Calling Card", Ryuji asked but Futaba only laughed
"My Futaba Cannon is ready, now, if I do this", Futaba stated as she then turned her laptop around for everyone to see; it was a Calling Card in video form, with one button it would be broadcasted all over Japan
"When did you make this", Makoto asked in confusion
"You should've told us you were plannin' something", Ryuji yelled in shock
"To trick your enemies, you first gotta trick your allies", Futaba stated
"Alright, is everyone ready to go", Akira asked as everyone nodded their heads
"Futaba... I can't believe I'm saying this, but... push the big red button", Luna stated as Futaba gave an evil grin and pushed the button.
(Meanwhile)
T.V.'s everywhere began to static up and whatever was on faded away; soon from the static, the Phantom Thieves logo popped up surprising every civilian of Japan.
"Yo, what is up, everybody, we are the ones who you all know as the Phantom Thieves, and all of us are alive and kickin'; but those people in power, they've been manipulatin' information to try and hide the truth; so before we appropriate our next target, we would like to first borrow your time, the recent scandals of public figures, the accidents caused by psychotic breakdowns and mental shutdowns, these weren't caused by unknown reasons; one man is behind every single instance simply to satiate his own greed, that man was afraid his crimes would be exposed and shifted the blame on us, he even manipulated the police for that; we only steal the hearts of criminals, but this guy tried to dump what he did on us; that just shows he doesn't care about those victims at all, and the identity behind the cowardly man",
The T.V.'s began shutting down showing a colorful screen, however... the broadcast was put back on.
"The man behind it all is a current cabinet member, of all things, the minister of state for special missions, Masayoshi Shido",
The T.V. screens changed to show a picture of Shido, the crowds were speechless as of what they saw, some even denied it.
"Everything that guy says is a lie, and to prove that",
The T.V.'s changed again, showing the Phantom Thieves, their masks kept their identity a secret, the crowds were speechless.
"Look, as you can see, all of us are alive and kickin', I'm sure the people investigating us can tell you if this is a lie or not; Shido himself will soon confess all the crimes that he's committed, please look forward to it everyone; we're not gonna sit back and watch some crook wreck this country just 'cause of his ego, ain't that right, leader",
Joker walked up towards the T.V. screen showing that he was alive and well
"Yes, before that happens, we will take this country",
The crowds began to cheer at the Phantom Thieves statement, as then the screens were shut off.
(Meanwhile)
Shido watched the footage from his tablet and he wasn't too happy with what he saw.
"Very well, I'll crush them beneath my heel" Shido stated
"I'll erase any who gets in my way... just as I've always done"
