(The Next Day, Daytime, Yongen-Jaya, Café Leblanc)
As the next day came for everyone, not all had happy faces; to half of the group that came in held bright smiles, but soon fell as they saw the other half of the group, most were on the verge of crying
"Why do you look so down", Ryuji asked
"Mako-chan, what's wrong", Haru asked as well but Makoto couldn't explain, neither could both Futaba and Luna.
"It's ok, I'll explain", Sojiro said, "Akira turned himself in to protect you all, he's now in Juvenile Hall",
"What" Ryuji yelled
"I don't comprehend, the hero who saved this nation is now living in Juvenile Hall", Yusuke asked
"It's how the system works, don't let it get to you", Sojiro said
"I did my best to discuss the options... but nothing I said could change the outcome", Makoto muttered
"Are we just supposed to agree with this, I can't do that", Ann shouted
"Me neither", Futaba shouted as well
"I must object as well", Yusuke added
"Wanting to interrogate him makes sense, but the measures following were questionable at best", Haru stated
"Won't everything just cancel out if Shido tells the whole truth", Ann asked
"That wouldn't be enough, remember what my sister said before", Makoto said, "in order to overturn a sentence, you need definitive evidence that proves the subject's innocent",
"Evidence, how're we gonna find anything like that", Ryuji asked, "the police were in on all that, any evidence they gots prolly been destroyed",
"Futaba, is there any way you can use your computer to find information", Yusuke asked
"I'll do what I can", Futaba said, "but don't put too much faith in it, it's not some kind of almighty device",
"The Metaverse doesn't exist anymore so that's out of the question", Haru muttered
"Boss, is there anything you can think of that we could use to help Akira", Luna asked but Sojiro shook his head
"I wonder what Mona-chan would say if he was here right now", Haru mumbled
"He'd likely laugh and tell us how foolish we are", Yusuke stated
"And he would say it in that high and mighty tone of his", Makoto said
"He was real annoyin', but now that he's gone, it feels... guess we did count on him a lot", Ryuji mumbled
"Hey, Morgana'd be ashamed of us sitting around and moping like this", Ann stated, "honestly, I don't know what we should do... but if we give up, we'll never save Akira",
"Ann's right, he saved all of us, we have to find a way to save him", Luna stated as well
"But what can we do without using the Metaverse", Yusuke asked
"Maybe we'll find something if we search around", Haru said
"We're gonna save our leader, no matter what it takes", Ryuji said with confidence
"Operation, Save our leader is a go", Luna yelled as everyone cheered; with enough said, everyone left to find a way to free Akira; soon enough, everyone had found a way, Haru contacted her father's associates; Makoto contacted people she knew; Ann talked around her work; Sojiro talked to his customers; Luna talked with her Aunt, Uncle, and family friends; after a month and a couple days, Akira was deemed a free man; Sojiro had left to go pick him up as everyone else stayed at the café, ready to welcome him back; after awhile of waiting, the café door swung open and both Akira and Sojiro walked in and everyone ran up to the two.
"Namaste" Futaba cheered
"We did it", Ryuji cheered
"I gotta head out and grab some groceries, I'm sure you guys have plenty to talk about", Sojiro stated as he left the café
"This was certainly worth the effort", Yusuke said
"We didn't know what to do once you were gone", Ann stated
"We were runnin' around since the new year, it musta been over a month", Ryuji said
"Not just us, but a lot of people helped", Haru stated
"And thanks to that, we got our leader back", Futaba stated as well
"And we can call this a mission success", Luna said as everyone nodded their heads
"You guys saved me", Akira said
"Well, now that everyone's back together, let's celebrate, celebrate our success with saving the world, and our success with getting our leader back", Ryuji said as everyone agreed, but then thought of Morgana.
"Well, not quite everyone", Futaba stated
"Morgana truly was the engine of the Phantom Thieves", Yusuke said
"Well, he was a car after all", Ann said
"I wanna see Mona again", Futaba muttered as then the café door opened once again
"Huh, that was quick", Ryuji said as everyone turned their heads towards the door; however, Sojiro wasn't seen, instead, Morgana walked in
"Someone call for me", Morgana asked as everyone stood up from their seats
"Mona", Ryuji yelled in shock as Morgana jumped onto one of the bar seats
"What're you doing here", Ann asked in shock, "I mean, didn't you disappear",
"Looks like the only me that disappeared was the one in the Metaverse", Morgana stated
"So... you stayed in reality as a cat", Makoto asked
"When I woke up, I was out in Shibuya looking like this", Morgana said
"That don't make any sense though, I mean, if you were alive, you shoulda come back right away", Ryuji stated
"It was right after I said goodbye, it would've been awkward to come back so soon", Morgana muttered, "and when you guys found your witness, I was just waiting for Akira to get discharged",
"Seriously", Ryuji shouted
"Give us our tears back", Haru shouted as well
"You are unforgivable", Yusuke muttered
"Talk about a harsh welcome", Morgana muttered to himself
"Matters are finally back to normal", Yusuke stated as everyone started laughing
"Let this comeback party begin, I demand sushi, SUSHI", Morgana yelled as Sojiro walked in
"Man, you guys are loud, I could hear you from outside", Sojiro said as he then looked at Morgana, "that what the meowing was about, the cat's back"
"Chief, they're so mean", Morgana whined
"Noisy as always", Sojiro mumbled as everyone couldn't help but laugh.
