I am on my way to my brother's house.
It has now been four weeks since Trent managed to slightly cheer me up and it's been three since Jordan finally let me go back to my flat and begin living my normal life again.
But that's just the thing, life hasn't been normal since well...Adam. Every inch of my flat seems to hold a memory of him and then I end up sobbing my eyes out for ages. I seem to be crying about the littlest things at the moment. The other day, I dropped the remote on the floor and I began crying because I couldn't find one of the batteries.
When I arrive at Jordan's house, there is a greyish, silver Mercedes parked in the driveway and I know that it isn't Jordan's or his wife's. I pull the handbrake and the vehicle comes to a gentle stop outside the house. I push the car door open and make my way up to the front door of the ridiculously large home of Jordan Henderson.
My hand twists the door knob and I step into the house. "Hiya, little sis." Jordan has two bottles of beer in his hand and is heading towards the living room.
"Hi, Jord." My lips turn upwards into a bright smile and I kick my Nikes from my feet.
"You want one of these?" My brother holds one of the beer bottles towards me and I slip it from his hands.
"Why not." I shrug the shoulders and shut the front door.
"Trent is round, you know him don't you?" Jordan steps into the living room and I follow behind him.
"Yeah, we had a small conversation a few weeks back." The boy is sitting on the couch watching the news on the wide stretch television. His dark, puppy eyes meet mine and he sends me a sweet smile. Cute dimples deepen in his cheeks and it makes him look like a child.
"Hello, you." Trent nods at me and his strong scouse accent catches me slightly off-guard with how attractive it sounds.
"Hi." Is all I manage to choke out. Jordan sends us both a weird look each as me and Trent stare at each other.
"Nat, do you wanna sit down?" My brother snaps me from my daze and pokes my shoulder gently.
"Oh yeah." I plop myself down next to Trent and he shifts a little as the sofa goes down under my weight.
"Here you are mate." Jordan chucks the beer over to the boy next to me and he catches it easily in his hands. I watch in amusement out of the corner of my eye as Trent struggles to pop the top from his bottle.
"Fuck sake, how do you open these without taking your eye out?" He curses under his breath.
Jordan walks out of the room when his wife shouts for him and I giggle at the struggling Trent. I grip one of the plastic coasters off of the coffee table and I use it to swipe the metal lid off of the beer bottle in my hand. "Smooth." A sly smirk appears on my face as Trent's mouth opens with shock.
"How?" A frown deepens on his face as I take a long swig of the cool liquid and I gulp it down in a loud mocking manner.
"Let's just say, spending ten years driving cars and having parties at the track helps you learn a couple of sick tricks."
His eyebrows raise in interest. "You're a driver?"
"Yeah, a rally driver."
"Wow, that's awesome. How come though?"
"Well, when I was about eight my brother took me to a rally race down at the local track and I guess since then I fell in love with the type of sport and have aspired to become a driver."
"He took you when you were eight?" Trent raises one eyebrow in surprise.
"Well, he is like ten years older than me and as you have an older brother you were probably allowed to do things that he weren't when he was your age, you get me?"
