Me, Kyle, Trent and the other staff, that are coming with us to Italy, board the jet and get ready for a two and a half hour flight to Rome. Trent takes the seat next to me and I get my laptop out, getting ready to watch some Netflix.
The jet that we are on is luxurious. Me and Trent are sat at a table seat and Kyle and his wife sits down opposite us. I put my seatbelt on and unlock my laptop.
The home picture makes a sad smile appear on Trent's face, he knows that it's me and Adam. "That was when we were sixteen, I had just one my first rally race in the under eighteens league." I explain and scratch my eyebrow as I remember that, that was a great night.
"You two look great together." Trent tries to keep my mood up and bumps his shoulder with mine.
"They were," Kyle speaks up. "They were a perfect match, like two peas in a pod."
"Childhood sweethearts." I whisper and smile sadly.
The plane journey begins and it turns out that Trent hates it when the plane takes off. I am never gonna let that escape my memory.
During the flight me and Trent watch the Umbrella Academy the whole time and when the plane lands my legs feel like jelly and I can hardly walk.
We get out of the airport at around half six and I am so tired. Me, Kyle, his wife and Trent get a taxi together to the hotel. "So, meet me and Carly at eight and we'll have dinner in the hotel restaurant." Kyle says as we wait for our room keys in the lobby. Carly is the name of Kyle's wife and she smiles kindly.
"Yep, see you then." Me and Trent collect our room keys and we haul our luggage to the lift. We are near the top floor as that it where the luxury suites all are, it's a bit of a pain but it will be fine for the next week and a half.
I unlock our room and the two of us go in to it. "Jesus!" My eyes go wide at the sight of the living room we have in this place. "It's huge!"
A tv is hung up on the wall and a sofa is placed in front of it, along with a rug and coffee table. We go into one of the rooms and it is just as stunning as the living room area.
A queen-sized bed, with a desk in the corner, a closet and the window is huge. It looks out onto the beautiful lakes and city. "This is amazing." Trent smiles and we go into the bathroom.
"Well, it looks like we are sharing a bathroom then." I scratch the back of my neck.
"It seems so." Trent bites his lip and we go into the other room. It's identical to the other bedroom.
"Right you can have this one, I'll go back into the other one." I tell him and I carry my luggage to the other room.
I unpack my things and have a quick shower to freshen myself up and wake me up enough for the dinner later.
The outfit I pick out is a tight black skirt and an off-the-shoulder white, crop top that hugs my curves. I do my make up and curl my hair.
A knock at my door makes me put my bright red lipstick down onto the desk and open the door. "You ok...flipping heck you look fucking gorgeous." Trent's brown eyes go wide and I bite my lip.
"Cheers, I guess," I blush heavily and hug myself. "You don't look too bad yourself."
"Really, am I looking handsome? Gorgeous? Irresistible?" Trent leans closer and leans against the doorway with his arms folded.
"Maybe," I also get closer to him. "Maybe not." I say this in a whisper and my breath is caught in my throat as Trent's lips press against mine gently. My heart thumps in my chest and I feel as if fireworks are exploding inside of me.
Then I see Adam's face cross my mind. His blue eyes. Guilt fills me and I pull away from Trent hastily.
I look at Trent and he has a grin on his face but it doesn't mirror my expression. I still have Adam's face blurring my vision and I mumble an apology to Trent before walking past him and down to the restaurant.
Kyle and Carly are already sitting at a table. I make my way over and sit down with a lump lodged in my throat, seriously uncomfortable.
I can't believe that I just kissed Trent. Kyle frowns at me and he knows that there is something up with me but I just subtly shake my head to say that he shouldn't worry.
My eyes meet Trent's as he comes into the restaurant. Even from here I can already feel that things are super awkward between us two.
"You alright mate, you're looking a bit pale?" Kyle asks Trent as the Liverpool footballer slowly sits down next to me.
"Just fine." Trent gulps and shuffles his chair closer to the table yet the slight uncomfortable look tells us that he is definitely not fine. But who can blame him I am feeling practically the same.
Kyle just nods his head but I can tell that he knows something is up between me and Trent.
The dinner goes by painfully slow with every minute feeling like an hour, not to mention the fact that me and Trent did not say one word to each other for the entire thing, not one single word.
As the clock hits ten o'clock in the evening my eyes are really beginning to droop, but no matter how much I toss and turn my mind won't stop bothering me with thoughts about Trent and the kiss that we shared.
I like Trent, I really do.
It's just I am not too sure that I am ready to let go of Adam.
