Everything Is Going To Be Fine

"Nat, hon, are you sure that you are in the right state to be going out there? It's raining a little and I don't want you to come off the track and hurt yourself." Kyle follows behind me as I enter the garage in a mess eager to drive around the track with the old Porsche 959 and forget about my troubles and worries.

"Don't worry, Kyle, you know me, when have I ever crashed?" I jump into my car and rev up the engine. I go to shut the door but Kyle stops it and yanks it back open.

"Number one rule of the track, Natalie, no matter the circumstances never ever go out in the car without a helmet," He shoves my helmet into my hands and walks round to sit in the passenger seat. "What's wrong, Nat?" His voice questions after sometime of silence as I tap my blue acrylic nails against the top of the helmet anxiously.

"I'm late." I mumble staring down at the shiny blue surface of the large object within my hands.

"Late? Late for what?" It is clear that Kyle has no idea what I mean and I don't blame him to be honest.

I take another deep breath and tap even faster against my helmet. "My period. It's late. Two weeks." My eyes finally meet Kyle's again and I show pure worry and paranoia.

Only the gentle tapping of my nails can be heard as my best friend processes the information I have just told. "You think that your...pregnant?" He says slowly and I nod my head a little attempting to gulp down the lump lodged in my throat. "Have you done a test?"

"No, I...I'm too scared. I mean, my life was just getting to normal and everything was going good but something always has to go wrong." I cover my face with my hands as the tears begin to come.

His arms go round my and I feel myself being tugged into Kyle's chest. "Oh, Nat. It's fine, everything is going to be okay."

"I just want for my life to go how I want it, no hiccups, no bumps in the road." I choke.

"And do you know what?" He lifts my head up to face him. "Me and you are gonna go and buy you a test, if it comes out positive we are gonna go find Trent and we are gonna tell him as he has a right to know before anyone else."

I ponder on his suggestion at first before I nod my head agreeing with Kyle. "Okay, but just let me have this drive on my own. I need to clear my head." I tell him and it's Kyle's turn to nod in agreement.

"Go on then," He gets out the car. "Remember, Nat, everything is going to be fine."

He shuts the passenger door and I smile slightly at him. I place my helmet over my tear-stained face and I pull out of the garage slowly. The rain is now getting heavier as I begin driving down the track.

Fat rain drops thunder against the windscreen causing it harder for me to see where I am going. My windscreen wipers are at full speed attempting to clear the water splattering onto the glass.

That isn't the worst though, I can hear the wind whirling outside and I know that me being out here is dangerous. Very.

"Shit!" I cuss under my breath as I begin to find it almost impossible to see.

A bump. A bump in the track is what I hit. I hit it at the wrong angle causing me to spin out.

My heart pounds in my chest and my eyes are wide with my brain clouded by panic with the fact that I am gradually spinning out of control. "Fuck, fuck, fuck. No, no, no!" I yell before I hit yet another bump but this time this makes the car roll over.

It comes off the track. Pain hits my entire body and my eyes begin to flutter shut as my conscience becomes blurry from the agony spiking from mainly my leg that appears to be stuck. The car smacks against a stone wall making glass through the car everywhere and it is upside down somewhere. My arm feels like it has just been snapped in half and the last thing I hear is my scream of pain.

Hi peeps,

I know it's a short chapter but I wanted to leave it there as a sort of cliff hanger. A lot has happened in this chapter (is Natalie pregnant or...). Find out all the answers in the next chapter.

See you next week,
