"So, how do you wanna tell Hendo then?" Trent inquires as he pulls onto the motorway. Currently we are on our way home back from our camping trip and are trying to sort out exactly how we are gonna tell my brother about us.
"Well, I was thinking about it yesterday and I thought that it would be best if we both did it together over dinner or something. Because that way it seems more, I dunno, informative and I think that if we both do it while he is in a goodish mood then he is less-likely to take it negatively." I pick at my jean pocket and get out my phone.
"I think that is a brilliant idea, babes, I can't come up with anything better." Trent shrugs his shoulders but keeps his brown eyes glued to the road as his face is full of concentration.
"Sweet, shall I text him now and ask him if me and you can come round for dinner?"
"Yes, the sooner we tell him the more time he will have to get over it if it does go wrong."
"Okay, I'll do it now," I nod my head and go onto messages to ask Jordan. "Done it." I tell him and blank my screen after making sure that the text has been delivered.
"Good, what did you say?" Trent quickly glances in my direction but focuses back onto what he is doing after a second or two.
"I literally said, me and Trent were wondering if it were okay for us two to come for dinner tonight?"
"Sounds perfect, well done to you, baby." He puts one hand on my thigh and my heart flutters.

The two of us slowly walk up the gravel path to Jordan's front door and my heart is already thumping with pure nerves. I have no idea how Jordan is gonna react and I have a feeling that it ain't gonna be good. "Hey, Natalie, stop stressing. He is your brother he is gonna have to accept us eventually, even if he doesn't at first he will realise that your feelings should come before his. When he sees that you are happy then he should be too, anyways he ain't exactly the master at relationships considering his own affair with..."
I interrupt Trent. "We don't talk about that, babe, so I wouldn't mention it if I was you. It is quite a touchy subject in the Henderson family." I warn him just incase he does say something that pisses Jordan off about it.
"I'm sorry but I am just saying that if he gets pissed at us then I won't agree with it one bit."
"I understand that, but I am warning you that if you don't want a punch in the face then don't mention his affair. Anyway, can we just get this done?" I grab his hand and pull him to the door so he can ring the doorbell and when he does I let go of his hand as my own begin to sweat from anxiousness.
"Don't worry, babes, everything is gonna be fine." He very quickly kisses my head just before the front door opens in front of us to reveal my brother standing there sending us both smiles.
"Yous two alright? Heard that you went camping with each other from that Kyle bloke." Jord raises his eyebrows at me and steps aside so we can both come in.
I can already sense the awkward tension in the air and my nerves pick up even more as I have a feeling that Jordan may have already sussed us out. "Yeah, err...we did and it was pretty good." I slip my shoes off and Trent does the same we exchange glances of concern but he then sends me a look of reassurance.
"Cool, go into the living room. Me and Rebecca will be in, in a minute." Jordan tells us and me and Trent go into the lving room.
We sit down on one of the couches together and I cross my legs underneath me whilst chewing at the inside of my mouth. "He knows, I am sure of it. I mean he has spoken to Kyle, what if he said something?"
