It's now been a week since I stayed the night at Trent's house and so far we have texted each other everyday without fail. The conversations have been about the most random things and have lasted for ages, I am not complaining though. I love talking to Trent.
We have decided to meet up at the track today so I can teach him and give him a taster on what it's like being in the racer's position when going at speed around a rally track.
I spot his silver car pull into a parking spot in the car park. I run over to it and when he gets out I give him the biggest hug ever. Trent seems surprised as he hesitates before wrapping his arms round my waist returning the embrace. "Hi." I squeal and pull away from the warm hug.
"Someone's excited I see." Trent chuckles and his bright smiles sends chills down my spine.
"Just a bit," I bite my lip. "Okay, come on." I grab his arm and lead him all the way to the main garage that has many different cars.
I watch his brown eyes go wide in amazement as he studies the many different cars parked in a row. "Which one am I driving?"
"This black mini," I pat the bonnet of the black mini next to me. "It is classed as a starter car as it is easy to control and doesn't go to fast compare to the rally cars us professionals use."
He goes over to the black mini and inspects it. "Sweet."
"Right get in and I'll go grab us our helmets and then I will talk you through some basics." I toss him the key and he catches it smoothly.
I grab two helmets from the shelf in this garage and get into the passenger seat of the mini. I hand him the black helmet and keep the white one for myself. "Thanks." Trent mutters as heh takes the helmet from me.
"Right, put your helmet on and I will go through a few things with you." We both out on her helmets and turn on our microphones so we can hear each other better.
He puts on his seatbelt and I do the same. "Okay." He nods his head and flips up his visor as I have mine flipped up already.
"So, I know you know the basics of driving a car as you obviously know how to drive one. You have, the steering wheel, the gears and obviously the pedals. Now what I want you to do is, just drive out of this garage and down to the track like you would pull out of your driveway and onto the road."
"Alright." He starts the engine up and carefully drives down to the track all the way to the traditional starting position.
"Okay, I will be helping you with the timing of changing the gears and I will tell you when to slow down and speed up. Take it at your own speed, yeah?"
"Easy." Trent flexes his hands clearly expressing that he is over confident.
"It's harder than it looks. Right step on it!" I tell him and the car jerks forward but comes to a quick stop. He has stalled it. "Congrats, Arnold, you've overloaded the engine."
He smacks my shoulder gently. "I meant to do it obviously." Trent tries to persuade me but I ain't buying none of it.
"Sure, sure. Just get on with it would ya, you said it were easy, so show me that it's easy," I beckon him to drive on, he sucks in a deep breath and he starts up the engine once again. "Take it at your pace, not too fast."
Trent steps on the accelerator and speeds off down the track. "Flipping heck!" He yells as he spots a corner that's coming up.
"Slow down, put your hand on the gear stick at the beginning and I will help you from there as it's slightly different from a usual car."
He does as he is told and slows down and puts his hands on the gear stick. As we come to the corner I place my hand on top of his and change the gear as he turns round the corner. I can tell that Trent us slightly fazed by the fact that my hand is on top of his and as a matter of fact, so am I.
We drive round the track about three times with me helping him with the gears the whole time. When he pulls onto the side of the track, he turns to me. "So, what do you think of my skills?" Trent nods his head.
"It's alright, not bad for your first time, but I wouldn't say that you have skills, mate." I shake my own head.
"I got a compliment, that's gotta count for something."
"Okay, but shall I show you how to properly drive this car?"
"How can I say no?"
We quickly swap seats and I start up the engine again. He does his seatbelt up and I do mine. "Right, so this car is smaller than my usual one so don't laugh at me if I do something wrong because I haven't driven this car in forever."
"Don't worry, I will mock you about every single thing that I actually notice is wrong." Trent folds his arms obviously happy that he might have something to mock me about.
I don't say anything I just speed off down the track. I change gears slow down make my way quickly round the first corner. Again, I change the gears and the car picks up pace.

I am at Trent's house now and we have McDonalds placed out on the coffee table. "If my dietitian knew that I was eating this he would kill me." Trent chuckles and pops a couple of fries into his mouth.
"Oh well, you said yourself that it's almost the end of the season, I am sure that it don't matter too much," I shrug my shoulders whilst taking a chicken nugget from the share-box and shovelling into my mouth. "Plus, it ain't like you need to worry, you're as skinny as fuck." I slap his thigh gently proving how skinny he actually is.
Trent just goes a shade of light red and folds his arms clearly feeling flattered by my sort of compliment.
The door bell rings throughout his house and Trent gets up. "Who the fuck is that?" I hear him grumble to himself as he paces out of the room.
I take a gulp of my chocolate milkshake and wait for Trent to return.
When he does enter back into the living room, Jordan is with him. His eyes meet mine and his expression completely changes from neutral to slightly pissed off. "Nat?" Jordan says and sits down in one of the chairs.
"You alright, Jord?" I chew at the inside of my mouth anxiously.
"What are you doing here?" He disregards my question and raises his eyebrows expecting an answer.
"Hanging out with Trent, I didn't know that was a crime." I reply and Trent sits down next to me on the sofa looking slightly awkward. He keeps looking between me and my brother obviously not quite sure about whether or not it's a good idea to say something.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to..."
"Don't worry about it, Jordan." I interrupt him before an argument starts between us.
There is a silence between us and Trent eats his food quietly. I cross my legs underneath me and munch on another chicken nugget. "So, is there something going on between you two?" Jordan can't stop himself from asking this but I don't blame him considering he is my older brother.
"No, no way." I hold my hands up by my head emphasising the fact that me and Trent aren't together.
"Hendo, mate, I wouldn't. I would ask you first if that was the case, but it isn't. We're just good friends." Trent explains.
Slight hurt fills the inside of me and I look at the programme on the telly making it seem like I ain't bothered by what Trent just said.
But deep down my mood begins to sink.
