The next few days were business as usual for Lillian, other than the two burly men Michael had hired to protect her. She had heard nothing more from Michael, but pride had prevented her from contacting him herself.

In the early hours of Sunday morning, Lillian, Beth and Emelie found themselves on clean up duty at the club. Lillian had put some cheesy pop music on and the three women were dancing and laughing as they cleaned. Lillian was thankful for her friends, for the first time in a while, her life felt almost normal.

"Hell of a crowd tonight, Lils." said Beth as she collected glasses. "Did you happen to see your admirer." Lillian turned to Beth in confusion.

"My admirer?"

"Michael Law, he's been here the last couple of nights....you haven't noticed him?" Lillian shook her head. "Well, he certainly noticed you, he couldn't his eyes off you up on that stage. What the hell happened between the two of you anyway?" Lillian and Emelie shared a look that Beth caught. "I saw that! What is going on?!"

"Um...well...we kinda slept together." admitted Lillian as Beth looked at her in surprise.

"Seriously? Why? How?!"

"Do I have to explain the birds and the bees to you, Beth?" asked Emelie with a grin.

"Ha. Ha. You know what I mean. Lils, the guy is a monster, do you not remember the fact that he had your club vandalized?!"

"I know, I know. I can't really explain it myself Beth, but after his accident he.....he changed. He's like a completely different person."

"He really is." agreed Emelie, "and he's totally in love with Lils."

"Okay Em, lets not go that far." said Lillian with an eye roll.

"Oh right....then why did he hire a security force just to keep you safe?" Beth's eyes almost popped out of her head.

"What?! What do you mean a security force? Why is no one telling me anything?"

"I'm sorry Beth, I didn't want to worry you." apologised Lillian.

The music cut off due to her phone ringing. Picking it up, she saw Michael's name on her screen.

"Oh.....it's him." she said, looking at the other two with a stupid grin.

"Speak of the devil and he shall appear." said Emelie. "Answer it then!" Lillian smiled at her friend and answered the call.

"Hello Mr. Law."

"Miss Jones." came his reply. "are you still at the club?"

"Considering the bodyguards you hired to follow me around I would say that you know the answer to that already." He gave a deep hearty laugh down the phone, which Lillian felt vibrate through her entire body.

"In that case, would you mind if I came to see you? I was wondering if we might be able to talk?"

"Um, sure, but I'll probably be leaving soon."

"Well as luck would have it, I find myself stood outside now." Lillian couldn't wipe that grin off her face. She walked over and unbolted the door to see Michael stood there in the rain. He hung up his phone and smiled at her. "May I come in?"

She gestured for him to enter. He walked in and smiled at the other two women who stood there, staring at him.

"Mr. Law." said Emelie in greeting.

"Please call me Michael.....Emelie is it?" she nodded. "and Beth?" Beth did not look impressed. Noticing the daggers she was giving Michael, Emelie grabbed her arm.
