Lucifer opened his eyes, taking in his surroundings and could barely believe his eyes. He was in the one place he never expected to see again, the palace gardens of Heaven.

"My son, I have missed you." He heard the familiar voice and looked up into the face of The Father.

"Father? Is it really you?" asked Lucifer in wonder. The Father smiled and offered him a hand.

"Welcome home Lucifer." He took The Father's hand and was pulled into an embrace. He felt his eyes fill with tears.

All the hate, the resentment and the regret faded away in that moment. All that was left was love. He closed his eyes, enjoying his father's embrace.

"I am so sorry for everything." he whispered.

"As am I, my son." The Father held him closer and Lucifer began to sob.

He cried for his long lost home, his brothers, his Father, but mostly he cried for the loss of Lilith. Perhaps they would be reunited in Heaven again, but there was no guarantee this would happen. Perhaps she would sin and be sent to Hell. It felt wrong for him to be here without her.

Pulling away he looked into his Father's eyes.

"How am I here after what I did? I exposed my true self...I hurt people-"

"You sacrificed yourself and your own happiness so that Lilith might live...you proved yourself to be worthy." He gave his son a warm smile. "Welcome home Lucifer."

Lucifer felt a joy at the words that he had wanted to hear for millennia, but it was tinged by sadness. His heart did not belong here, it belonged with Lilith, as it always had. The father stepped back and regarded him with a curious look.

"You are troubled my son...this is not what you truly want."

"I am sorry father, I just...I cannot be without her any longer." The tears came again, but this time they were not tears of joy, but of pain. "She is everything to me."

"Then you will be with her." Lucifer looked up at him in surprise.

"I can? But how?"

"By making one last sacrifice." He regarded Lucifer carefully, before he spoke again. "You will have to give up your power....and become mortal."

Lucifer didn't even hesitate before he replied: "Anything."

The next few weeks passed quickly for Lillian. The awful events of that night had be erased and replaced by Uriel. Due to her new memories and the newspaper headlines, it appeared that Michael Law had absconded with his PA, once his dealings with London's underground gangs had been exposed.

One of the gangs, which included James, had all been arrested. Michael had gone to her, that night to tell her it was over and that he had to leave. Lillian looked back on the time they had spent with fondness, but could not bring herself to be too upset about them ending. The connection she had felt before had become non-existent. The girls continued to worry over her of course, as well as bad mouth him at every chance.

Lillian had just finished her set and walked backstage when Emelie wrapped her in a hug.

"That was amazing Lils, how you doing??"

"I'm fine Em." said Lillian with a smile as she pulled away. "and you don't have to keep checking on me every five minutes, I'm honestly okay."

"I'm sorry hun, I just...well, I said all that stupid stuff about him being your soulmate."
