Christian POV
They just left, and how am I feeling? Well, were are back to step 1, Daniel is still missing, and Zach and Jack are back out, after they were almost caught and killed a couple of times.
"How are you feeling man?" Crawford asked.
"I don't know anymore,"I said.
"What do you mean?" Crawford asked. He was lying in the floor on his stomach and he had his elbows bent and was holding his head in both hands. I sighed.
"I don't even know, I'm just saying words," I said. He laughed.
"Why are you so happy?" I asked.
"I haven't even comprehended the fact that I'm here," he said.
"Wish I could say the same," I said walking off. By that I mean I walked 3 feet to my bed.
"I'm used to the smell, and being trapped here," he replied. I got up and started walking around. I hated not knowing what was going on or where people were.
"This is Jack, do you copy Christina?"
"Yeah, sure Jacky," I replied.
"Zach and I are ok. We've gotten slightly further from Yesterday. We got an ok idea on part of your area."
"Okay, that's good. We've got a lot of places to explore right now," Zach yelled real quick.
"Well, I'm glad you guys are ok. I will be ready to hear the next update," I said.
"Yes sir!" Jack replied. I put the device down and smiled.
"So, the devices making things better?"
"Yeah, my anxiety goes down, a lot," I replied. Now all I can do is wait...Again.
Jack POV
We were now walking up a bunch of stairs. When we got the top we heard voices so we climbed into the vent. We were very quiet going through.
"I hear someone," Zach said. We listened. Nothing. I carefully crawled over a vent opening to another room. Of course we were put in the oldest portion part of the building. It's rotting. This is newer. Doesn't look that new. But, compared to ours, it looked very new. I turned around to make sure Zach was going to safely get over to this side. Before he could even start, we heard voices below. We both looked below us.
"No! don't touch them! Leave them alone!" Daniel? I looked up at Zach and he looked at me. So it was. I wanted to cry tears of happiness. He was still alive!
"Yeah, no promises. We don't check on them anymore, they could all be dead right now," A guy said right below us. 'I wish I had something to throw at the guy'. Wait..was Daniel crying? No, but he's pretty close.
"They better not be!" Daniel yelled.
"Anyways, listen, this will be very, very painful, but for our enjoyment," The guy said picking up A saw. Daniel started squirming. Zach looked at me with tear filled eyes. Oh boy.
"No," Zach mouthed. He looked back down. The dude was holding Daniels hand. He already had him tied up and in a chair. He got closer and closer and Daniel started yelling, I looked away. I looked back at Zach and he pulled the wooden plack he had. Where did he get that?! He dropped it sideways right into the vent. I hit the guy in the head. He held his head in pain and he began bleeding.
"Hey! Who did that?!" He yelled. "The ceiling is falling apart," He said. "I can't do this today. I need a bandage. You got lucky! you get a little while." The door closed and Daniel looked up.
"Thank you," he said it quietly. He looked bad. Can't imagine what he's been going through.
"Daniel,"Zach whispered. I wanted to get him. Maybe we can. As I began moving, someone came into the room.
"I'm here to watch you," he said. 'Damnit!' I thought. I motioned for Zach to follow me. We needed to tell Christian. Later we will have to come back and see if we can save him without risking his life. We crawled until we found an empty room and the door was already barricaded. We dropped down.
"Want some goldfishies?" Zach asked.
"No thank you, I need to get a hold of Christian," I said walking to the opposite side of the the room that did not have the door. Zach and I moved the old crates to the area and we sat down.
"Christian, this is Jack, do you copy?" I asked.
"Jack this is Christian, over," He replied. My eyes began watering.
Christian POV
"Jack this is Christian, over," I said. Silence.
"Christian?" Jack asked. His voice is different. He is on the verge of crying.
"Jack?" I asked.
"We are safe. We got news," he said.
"Go ahead," I said.
"We found Daniel. We were not able to get him. Zach saved him from losing a limb, he has a little while."
I ran my hand through my hair and sighed. He was alive.
"Thanks Jack," I said
"No problem, were going to relax."
"Please do," I said. I lied down. Wow. he's alive.
