We have been going slow and steady. Hopefully that wins us the race. We had been going for what seemed like hours, only for me to turn around and still see where we'd been earlier.
"Jack, we need to go faster," I said looking around.
"That's what she said." I looked at Zach who was laughing at the fact everyone laughed at him. This guy.
"Yeah, ok Zach," I said taking a couple more steps. Jack agreed to my statement and we went a lot quicker. We've probably made more progress than we had earlier in an hour. If you don't take chances, then we will never get out of here. I remembered what Jc had said. It was great advice, that's for sure.
"Ok, this is when you need to be shoulder to shoulder with your group. We are going to have to be very quiet and aware," I said. Jack nodded and made sure everyone had done so. Here we go.
Daniel POV
I have never in my life seen this area. At this point, it's up to Christian to help us out of here, and Jack to get us to be ready. I was between Jonah and Oscar. They know that I will be eassily noticed. I'm really hoping we are all ready. We all stopped and Jack reached into his coat. Was he pulling out a weapon? Should we be doing it? He pulled out a pack of papers.
"While we were chilling, Daniel, Zach, Christian and I made maps. Not of the whole building, but this half. Some of it may be not 100% accurate, like with extra doors and stuff. We don't have memory that good. I will give one to each group. Please stay together," He said handing them out.
"Are we spreading out now?" I asked. I was not ready.
"No, but we will soon. We will meet back....Here!" Jack said putting an 'x' at the spot. Everyone looked at his and did the same. Jonah kept our paper since he was the oldest. Jack said to try and have the older ones keep the maps, but if we wanted the other to carry it then that was fine. I decided to sneak back with Christian and Zach.
"No, I want to carry it!" Zach complained.
"Zach, I'm the oldest!" Christian replied.
"I'm pretty much the same age as you."
"Uhm. No. I'm five years older than you."
"Ugh. Fine. You probably had to read a map anyway cause your so old." I gasped and chuckled at them.
"Wow. Ok. You win," Christian laugh.
"So, I get to carry it?!" Zach excidedly asked.
"No," Christian replied. Zach looked over to me.
"Hey, what's up Danel?" He asked rapping his arm around me.
"Nothing much. Just came back to say hi," I replied.
"Well-" Zach yelped and turned around, making all of our hearts beat as if it were trying to leave.
"Crawford!" The 3 of us yelled. He laughed. We continued walking and caught up with the others.
"How'd you even get back there?" I asked.
"I hid behind something and snuck behind ya'll. Then I got right up behind Zach and grabbed his shoulders," He explained. I rolled my eyes. Yep, that's Crawford. Jack stopped and silenced us.
