"Hey, Zach," I said. He turned around.

"Are you crying?!" I asked. I was shocked. He was. Just a couple of minutes ago, he was laughing and making jokes. I guess the realization hit him. I pulled him into a hug. Fuck my feelings. He's the youngest and I'm supposed to help him.

"Everything is going to be ok." I wonder if he heard the doubt in my voice. A full out fight was going to happen. Nothing is ok. I pulled back. I had to realize it could be the end of anyone, including me.

"Look, Zach. You've made all of us smile and laugh so much. You've taught me to be happy and to have fun as much as I can. You never once annoyed us. You are the sun in this room. You lighten the darkest places," I said. Damn. I just talked from deep down in my heart.

"Christian. Thank you so much for everything. If it wasn't for you, we would not have even attempted to get out. You helped us so much," Zach said. I really hope he makes it. He will. I'll protect him with my life. We hugged one more time and I moved to Daniel. I smiled at him and pulled him into a hug.

"Daniel-"

"Thank you for everything, Chris. This could be our last time with eachother. It was an honor to call you my brother and I love you," he said. He was on the verge of tears. Wow. Imagine how pathetic we look. We're all crying because we're saying goodbye. I guess that really makes us a strong and happy family.

"Daniel, you have no idea how happy I am to call you my brother. You are so talented. At age 15 you were in American Idol. When I was, I was what most people would call, a normal person in high school. Hoping that one day I could live my dream. You helped me realize that it's important to follow your dreams. I love you so much bro, and you never deserved to be here," I said.

"You don't either. No one does for that matter. You taught me to always be happy and cheerful. I love you so much as well," He said hugging me again.

Everyone took about two hours to say bye. The groups were going to be the way they were before Daniel was saved. We were put in pairs again so that if we ever have to run, we won't be alone. We were still staying in a big group, but spread apart a little.

"Are we ready?" Jack asked.

"Nope," everyone replied.

"Great, me neither," he replied. Jack began leading us away. Zach and I were last. We took one more look at the room, and hoped it wouldn't be the last time we were all going to be happy.
