Jack POV
We hadn't looked at our map in a while. Of course we knew that we were where we were supposed to be. What if we passed the hall, though?
"Crawford, give me the map," I said. Crawford handed it to me and I checked. I turned my head to the right hall then back at the map.
"What?" He asked. He was worried.
"Wait. You haven't been messing around," I said looking at him.
"Yeah. I know when to play around and when not to," he replied.
"What?" He asked looking at my face.
"Your scaring me," I replied. He really was. I gave him the map.
"Are you good? Are we lost?"
"No. Actually, the room is right through this hall and through that door," I said pointing to it. His mouth dropped open. We both looked around.
"Why the hell aren't we rushing in there?!" Crawford yelled.
"What?" I asked.
"We've been walking for a long time and you are ust going to sit there? I laughed at him.
"It's not some kind of safe heaven, Crawford. It's about equal to standing in the middle of the halls. Just this place is less poulated," I explained. He stared at me and I was wondering if he even heard me.
"I hope the guy that was next to me when we first arrived is doing ok," I stared at him.
"What made you think about saying that?" I asked. He shrugged.
"I don't know, but we need to go," he replied.
"Yes, I agree," I replied. We walked through the hall and stopped infront of the door.
"What the-"
"Sshh," We both stood there.
"Ok," I said.
"What was that?" He whispered.
"If we get caught, we can get everyone else killed." We went in and checked the large room. There were three doors including the one we came through, with main doors. The room was about 55 ft big.
"Yeah. We are good. We are actually really close to the exit. if we run, we'll be able to be out in about 3 minutes," I said.
"Wow, what kind of ass move would it be if we just left?" Crawford laughed.
"Very messed up," I replied. Who would do that?
"Where are the others? Can we check?" That was a great idea.
"Yeah, I think Chrisitan was closest. Let's check on them," I said. We rung them up and they picked up.
"What's up Bitches?"
"Zach, where is Chrisitan?" I asked.
"Dang. Don't even want to talk to me. I see. Here Christian."
"Hey, what's up?"
"Where are you guys?"
"Uhm. Close. A couple of halls. We were thinking about jogging."
"As long as it's safe. We are actually already here."
"Oh, really? Cool."
"Christian. Tell the others, please. We need to hurry. They are coming." There was silence. "You there?"
"Yeah. We will hurry. I'll have Zach call while I lead."
"Ok. Thanks. Stay Safe." I hung up. I hope everyone doesn't think that we are out. We are not free yet. The sooner we leave though, the better.
