We were all so, so tired. I could tell. Tonight is going to be nice. We could just sleep.
"We need to talk," Dylan said.
"Yeah," Jack said. Of course they do. Although, it's good that they'd said that. They are the therapists of the group. I sat up.
"Who wants to go first?" I asked. No one said anything.
"How about you, Christian?" Jack asked. He just did that.
"Yeah, ok. I feel like our lives are dead. We have to live with knowing all of that just happened. How am I going to explain this to anyone? How are we going to get home? We don't know anything, this can't be real. This is a nightmare," I ranted. Everyone looked down. How is this even possible? Everything we've gone through?
"I feel the same, I think," William said. I was shocked. I thought I was just going crazy. I'm glad everyone agreed though. We went through another long period of silence.
"Do you think Daniel is ok?" Corbyn asked. I looked at him and saw everyone looking at me.
"I don't know. Anything could have happened. Maybe he ran the wrong way, took shelter, or he got cr-cru," I couldn't say it. I tucked my knees to my chest and stared at the fire.
"It's ok, Chris. I don't want you like this. We won't talk about it anymore," William said. I'm glad my friends understand me. We were all getting really tired, but were also not wanting to go to sleep. This had to have been the craziest day of any ones life. We heated up some of the snacks and things we had left. According to Crawford, he'd forgotten he was carrying a back pack.
We all ate and chatted a little, and one by one we began falling asleep. I was the last one awake, so I realized I'd have to forget the impossible. I lied my head down and the ground and put my coat over me. I was so tired. There was no way I was going to get up. I felt drugged from sleepiness.
"Christian!?" I couldn't keep my eyes open. I wanted to get up, but couldn't.
"Christian!" I looked out and saw two figures. What was this?I yelled at myself to get up, but it was impossible. Almost like having a nightmare and wanting to move when something is after you, but you can't. I focused. I knew those voices.
"Christian!" The surprised voice yelled.
"Daniel?...Dad?" I was out.
