"Fiesty, isn't he?"

"You." Jaden growls glaring at the male in front of him. His arms immediately fall from around Jehu's hips. " Still daring enough to face me? Do you not learn?" Jaden says lowly, clenching his fists by his sides. the ballroom was full, full of prying ears .

"Can you ease the hostility ? " Jehu says , smiling charmingly at him. "I just want a small talk with your all-knowing- shit- talking-ass." Jehu couldn't help but push on Jaden's buttons. Either way he wouldn't put up with someone's bullshit unless it was Haou's. He just had to make some things straight before he left.

"I don't have time." Stubborn , was Jaden's second name ,and he wasn't anything if not that. Even if his acts would seem childish to most , he really didn't want to have a conversation with the other at the moment-his head was already a mess as it is. Turning around just before Jehu could grab a hold of him , Jaden walked away and into the crowd.

"You're gonna regret it !"

He hears Jehu's voice over the music, but decides not to bother . 

His head was pounding , suddenly his breathing  becoming harder and harder with every single step he took towards his throne . The stairs up made his vision blur , the temperature around him suddenly dropping. At least that's what Jaden felt , before his legs gave out and he fell...

It has been five days since the ball . Five days since Jaden fell. Five day's from the day the king abruptly died. Four days since the funeral. 

And a full week for Jesse without any sleep. Everything happened in a moment. One one second he was dancing happily with his little sister, the next guards were trailing after him as he ran through the hallways to the medical bay.

Both poisoned, one dead , the other barely holding on.

"There's little hope of recovering." 

The healer had said. 

"He's getting weaker ."

They said.

It was the night of the fifth day Jesse finally stepped in their room, and already felt the dread filling him. The life in his womb was barely four months old , and it's carrier has passed more emotional turmoils than he ever thought he would . Sorely , his state was no where it should have really been in his situation, his condition . 

His husband was on his deathbed, as much as it dreaded Jesse to think. His husband of  hardly five full months was on his death bed .  Jaden was going to leave him . With that thought in mind he fell in a dreamless sleep not caring about his clothes or how much of a mess he was he needed rest.

Black clouds cried and cried that day. The droplets of clear water falling again in black. The whole kingdom cried in misery and anguish. Not a single person rose their head their late king passed through them one last time . 

Jaden's father was dead.

The hurt was immense as the coffin neared their last place. Their resting place . 

Jesse...

Jesse watched with empty eyes as the final words were said. His head tilted a little to the side as he watched the coffin lower down slowly, his hands were shaking , clutching  the sides of the black jacket he had on.

There was no crown in his head , no jewelry anywhere on him. He looked like any of the commoner's , any of his underlings. They were burying a great man after all . No one should be above the latest. 

"It's him next." 

Jesse heard a voice beside him , immediately tuning his head at the side he blinked seeing Yubel on his left.The place on his right was still empty. He narrowed his eyes for a second trying to look behind The General. " Did you say something?" 

Yubel looks back at him for a second , his green eyes shining with something Jesse couldn't just put his finger on. " No."

Slowly , too slowly Jesse nodded his head , turning back around. Emerald eyes shifted across the field , over the raised soil covered in white roses, briefly meeting shining golden.
