*Craving Souls* (Spiritshipping)

Part 12

Jaden took Jesse all around the village near the castle , showing him the schools , the theater, children's playground, the best baker's in the town and also his favorite blacksmith . Explaining him things he was curious about, then stopping for lunch break,  when they were tired ,  eating some bread and cheese, not to be noticed by the villagers .

Jesse smiled as he ate , sitting beside Jaden near a tree . He was truly surprised by Jaden's modesty, and how well he blended with the normal crowd ,  like he had been there all of his life.  Jesse wondered if that was true , as he peeked over at Jaden , who had already finished,  and was helping some old mad carry a sack of flour to his home nearby.

Jaden came back near him , rubbing his hands together, then trying to clean his clothes.  "Finished? "

Jesse nods as he gulps the last of his food down. "All done. "

Jaden walks over to him , and reachs out,  running his fingers gently over Jesse's lips , looking down at them the whole time, licking his own lips in a not so innocent manner . Then he slowly , almost hesitantly, pulled away from him ."Now you're done, kitten. "

Jesse pouts a light blush covering his cheeks , as he resisted the urge to kiss Jaden in that moment. He blushed more at the thought.  "Thanks."

"Come on, let's go to the fields. I  know the best place where we could see all the kingdom. " Jaden says, then shrugs ."Or at least some part of it. "

Jesse chuckles and gets up , shaking the dust off his clothes. "Let's get going then." He reaches out to take Jaden's hand, who had already turned around to walk , but backed away.

Jaden looks behind him , confused as he didn't hear any steps after  his , seeing Jesse looking at his hand, then at his own. Jaden sighed and took Jesse's hand in his. "Com'on I want to be home by dinnertime. " He says and starts walking again, Jesse following close to him.

They walk for quite some time  ,  the place around them filled with trees of different fruits,  some just pulling out their first flowers for the year.

Jesse smiled as he enjoyed the view,  while following Jaden , who leaded him to the top of a hill .

"Okey, we're here ." Jaden announces,  letting go of Jesse's hand.

Jesse looks up and gapes at the view, he knew Jaden's kingdom was by seaside, but not this much, his own kingdom was always cold and flowers or trees rarely bloomed, but here to see the village,  the castle and the trees and people everywhere totally near the shore , made the view completely  majestic.

"That was my reaction too when I came here for the first time. " Jaden says his arms behind his back , as Jesse turned to look at him ."This is what I fight for . What I want to protect and see in peace. " Jaden looks at Jesse blushing lightly. "I know it may sound cliché, but this is my dream, and I won't rest till it's done." Jaden says looking away again. Why did I tell him that? He thought to himself as he looked back at Jesse, only to be tackled down by the other.

"Don't think like that . A dream is a dream and it has every right to be completed ". Jesse smiled down at him , from his position.

The sincerity expressed in those   words and that truly sweet smile coming from the other,  made Jaden's heart warm up , like it hasn't in a long time. "Thank you."

Jesse smiles and then notices what he has actually done moments before, and how close their faces were. He yelped , quickly trying to pull away.

A whine left Jaden's lips at the lost of the other's body weight over his so he grabbed his hand and pulled him back down , making Jesse yelp once more as he fell on top of Jaden, his hands in either side of Jaden's head.

"Kiss me. " It was low whispered, but Jesse heard it clearly clear , his heart hammering in his chest , to the point he was sure that Jaden could hear it too. His eyes searched Jaden's for some time before he closed them and leaned down locking their lips .

Jaden's response was immediate,  as he kissed back fiercely moving his lips over Jesse's.  The kiss told his desperation for closure,  for a faithful companion.

And Jesse returned the same fierceness, with the same hidden feelings . Shuddering as Jaden placed his hands on Jesse's hips.

They broke the kiss, only to take a deep breath , before they both leaned in for another.  There was still not real love in the kiss, just new feelings building in a short time, but there wasn't lust either . None of them made a move more than the kissing the other , just content with each-other's presence near.

"Your highness!! Your Highness!!" A guard came running to them , as they quickly broke away , their faces flushed , and panting.

The guards came to a stop before them and bowed. "Your highness, there's a great problem going on!" He says rushed.

"What is it? "Jaden asks , Jesse looking at him , disbelieving at how quickly he composed himself.

The guard"There's news from the borders of both kingdoms. The Dark army is moving and coming nearer our kingdoms . General Zane has already left,  while His Majesty is sending Lord Aster with him. And.. " the guard suddenly stopped.

"And what?  Speak." Jaden ordered, seeing Jesse's frightened expression at the corner of his eye.

"And the king also ordered the change of your marriage date . The wedding will be taking place tonight. ...Your brother is invited too, Your highness. "

Jesse winced as he felt Jaden's grip on his hand tighten tenfold, he looked up trying to read Jaden , but .... his facial exppression was  unreadable. What has happened between them?
