*Craving Souls* (Spiritshipping)

Part 19

The day after the wedding Jaden left the castle, his mind made in turning back victorious. From this war of many.

He left without waking Jesse up. He wasn't sure what stopped him but he surely couldn't wake him up, after seeing his peaceful sleeping face. Couldn't bear it in his heart to break that peace of his now-husband.

Jesse's eyes closed without pressure , his soft teal hair splayed over the red silk of the pillows. Marks covered his skin all over . Marks Jaden had been proud of while he was making them because they were on his husband and they were beautiful , probably the same marks now covered his skin too. Jaden would be surprised if there weren't .

Those pink lips stayed slightly parted. At that moment Jaden couldn't help but think that he had an angel in his bed. Their bed. Their room . The sound of that inwardly pleased him greatly.

He didn't leave without a kiss though , connecting their lips lightly for a moment , smiling when he felt Jesse respond while still asleep. He pulled back, moving some stray hair with careful fingers from the milky white skin. He  walked away and careful not to make any noise, put on his red and silver armor . Walking , limping quietly towards the door and opening it , stepping out and closing it after him just as quietly.

So he left, leaving his mind and his heart behind, with the sleeping Jesse. Happy , although fearful. After all this was just like the time he left Jehu in Haou's castle, to help his brother protect the borders of his own kingdom .

What waited him afterwards, after he returned to the castle , a ring in his pocket, and a love hopefully unbreakable. Was heartbreak.

A deep,deep heartbreak ........Jaden had been only eighteen at the time he met Jehu at the local market, not merely two years  after his father and brother got in a argument , causing Haou to leave and form his own kingdom, like the prodigy he was, while Jaden stayed back, his relations with his brother still strong at the time . They became friends in a short time span. 

It came to the point where Jaden sneaked out of the castle at night to meet the other . Like the youngster he was and feeling everything new , he felt like he was flying , blushing and smiling randomly at memories of things he did with Jehu at the time.

A mere touch of hands made him blush and stutter, so he decided to confess and he did . Afraid as hell , but he did.

He couldn't help but be over enjoyed when his feelings were returned.  His attempts to escaping the castle to spend time with his boyfriend increased , and if anyone noticed,  nothing was said.  All of the castle was delighted to see the Crown Prince so lively and happy. Most had their suspicions about the prince's love life though.

That being said ,Jehu and Jaden made plans of leaving. Not only the city, but fleeing the kingdom.  And where was the most protected place Jaden could think of ,except his brother's castle and kingdom.  The Dark kingdom, as it was later named.

One night they ran away there ,the shadows of the dark windy night covering their steps as they rode their horses out of the kingdom's borders  . It was a long journey, but they couldn't stop, by the morning someone would have realized that Jaden was missing and a search party will be sent after them.

They arrived at the end of the other day , greeted by Haou , and were thankfully helped to get clean and rest. 

The year he spent with Jehu then , it had been wonderful for Jaden . He felt needed,  protected , in peace. The Domino kingdom was doing great under his father's reign. The search for him having diminished a little after the first six months , but it was still there.

Though Jaden couldn't care less at the time  , although shortly after the first year of them being together the war started. The kingdom in border with The Domino Kingdom, The Dark Kingdom and The Crystal Kingdom started moving.

No one knew much about that kingdom at the time, nor do they now.  Its King or Queen is still unnamed . None of their spies has returned from those lands after going once.

It came to the point where Haou was needed to go to war.  He went. Leading his army for nearly six months against the enemy. Not once in those months he was able to see the face of his enemy.  Despite that the other was clearly male by his physique.  And also merciless on the battlefield.

When Haou came back, he was critically injured  and in a pretty bad shape , Jaden didn't have time to think about how his brother got in that condition . He stayed up for days in row taking care of his injuries and feeding him. 

It wasn't before the news that the enemy's army was advancing in the Dark Kingdom's lands. Haou was in no state to lead his army and do what his people wanted when they choose him king , so Jaden took the matters in his hands. "I'm going to lead the army Haou .I'm more than capable and you know it."

Haou who was still currently in bed, his head ,arms,  legs , chest wrapped in bandages , glared at him. "There's no possible way that I'm sending you to do what is my duty and responsibility ." He said as he tried to sit up , but as soon as he got in his elbows , he fell back down with a deep groan.

Jaden shot on his feet and helped him get comfortable, slowly moving him ."I said no getting up for you ! I barely could stitch your wounds , you idiot ! You want to die from blood loss !" Jaden scolded , fixing his pillow. 

Haou groaned a bit at reached , wrapping his fingers around Jaden's wrist, his eyes looking in the chocolate brown ones."Please brother ..........you are seeing what he did to me . I'm alive only , because of you and your skills.." Haou grunted a bit. " I'm afraid that I won't be able to save you......He could kill you Jay ."

Jaden looked down at his  brother , contemplating that Haou accepted for once that he was afraid, and it warmed his heart that it was about him.

Jaden got  his wrist free , and took that hand of Haou's, in both of his. "Hao , believe me I know the danger that going there brings .... But an army without a leader is a defeated one. "

Haou sighed looking in front of him for a while.  Of all of the people he had met,  Jaden , his brother was the most stubborn one . The one that he couldn't change his mind no matter what he tried.  ... But this time he decided to use his last card ."What  about Jehu ? Are you willing to go , knowing that you may not return back to him ?" He waited for his twins' reaction,  hoping , but only saw him smile.

"Brother ...Jehu already knows.  I've discussed this with him for nights.  He was happy,  yes , but he said he understands. So I got his permission. " Jaden says ,softly squeezing Haou's hand ."I'm going to leave tomorrow and that's final ." He stated his expression going back to serious.

At that moment Haou could only sigh, as Jaden smiled , knowing that he had won. "Alright then.....just come back alive."

Jaden nodded and giving his hand another squeeze. Eyes shining in determination.  "Believe me I will."

And he did , but to what ?
