Part 5

                   {SORRY FOR THE LONG WAIT , BUT HERE'S THE UPDATE~}                            

"My Liege ." Zane suddenly says as he and Aster were walking down the castle's hallways .

Aster turns his head , dark blue orbs locked in Zanes's figure, confusion shown in his eyes.

Zane sighs and explains "You called Prince Jaden ,My Liege.  Shouldn't that be an honor only for the king?" 

At that a chuckle  escaped Aster's lips "The prince is the king. Basically everyone considers him as such."

Zane looks at him not understanding "How-?"

"Let me explain. " Aster says as they step out in one of  the many balconies of the Domino castle, "By the rules of our kingdom Prince Jaden would have been king since his eighteenth birthday , coronation and all. "

"Then why is he still a prince ?"

"Simple , the council didn't want him to have the throne and they used him leaving the kingdom as an excuse till now ." Aster replied .

"Then why marry him now? That would directly make him king of not one but two kingdoms ." Zane inquired as he watched Aster lean against the balcony looking down at the garden. He either trusts me . Zane thought  ,not that easily a general or co-general  ,who had fought god knows how many wars ,would turn his back to a complete stranger, or he misjudges me.  "If they wanted power ,this is not a way of gaining it."

Aster looks back at him , his eyes wondering in Zanes's," You know, if I didn't know any better I would have thought you're a spy ." Aster said , smirking at him , in a seemingly playful way , thought cautious. "I'm not giving away more information.  Those matters are private ." Aster then started walking to the door of the balcony and ringed a bell .

Immediately there came a maid,  ," Yes , Lord Aster? "

"Clare , please accompany  General Zane to his chambers ." Aster said as he smiled softly at the sight of the young black haired maid.

"Of course, Lord Aster ." Clare bowed in respect to him, as Aster left, then turned to Zane. " Lord Zane if you could follow me ."

Zane nodded and started walking after her,  but not as soon as he shot Aster's leaving figure one last glance.

They walked back in the same hallways that he and Aster came , which got Zane really confused. "If I can ask why are going again this way ?"

The maid turns around and looks at him with confusion in her brown orbs ," I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you Lord Zane , we are going to your chambers. "

Zane sighs ,"I mean Lord Aster and I just came this way , and he supposedly was taking me to my chambers, so why are walking back here?"

"Ah His Highness decided the change, you , Lord Zane and Prince Jesse will stay in his side of the castle," the maid quickly explained looking down ,her cheeks bright red in embarrassment.

"It's good , let's go on ." Zane reassured the young maid , smiling softly at her .

Clare nodded not trusting her mouth to speak anymore, as she started walking again.

Zane quickly followed after her , however they were stopped by a door opening . The prince's room , Zane noted. He saw Jesse come out , then the door was locked shut once more.

At the sight of his prince, Zanes's first instinct was to be by his side , so he did just that. He ran few steps away from him, then suddenly stopped,  taking in his prince's stiff figure.

Jesse looked devastated, his peridot green eyes , blank , starting in front of him . He kept looking up as if to contain something that was ready to burst . His hands clenched by his sides .

"My Prince? " Zane asked as he finally approached Jesse , his tone of voice clearly showing his concern.

Jesse slowly turned his head and smiled to him , though the smile was all but his usual ones  filled with happiness and innocence.  This one...this one was completely empty, like starting in a old doll's smile.

Zane placed an arm around Jesse's shoulders and took a deep breath trying to contain his emotions. "Clare, can you please show us our chambers? "

Clare quickly nodded and walked again in front of them.

Zane followed close behind, pushing Jesse to walk, by his side .

"This are Prince Jesse's chambers my lord , the ones in front of this one are yours . If you excuse me I will take my leave ,my lord. "  Clare said , as soon as she got Zanes's confirmation she left.

Zane ,then , opened the door to Jesse's chambers, quickly getting them inside and closing the door after him . "Okey My Prince , what did Prince Jaden  say?"

Jesse looked at him as tears started rolling down his face like waterfalls. His eyes filled with sadness as he wrapped his arms around himself.

"He's the one , Zane ." A sob. "And he doesn't want me." His voice sounded broken. Jaden just broke him.
