Part 27

"It's been days ."

Jehu raises his head , his gaze running over his brother's face from his spot on a chair by the balcony of the royal chambers. "What?"

A sigh left Jesse's lips as he placed his hand over the slightly formed bump on his belly. "There's no letter in days, Jehu. "

Jehu's lips stretch in a smirk. He closes the red covered book in his hands , leaning back on the chair. "You're whipped. "

The dark red blush that covers Jesse's face by the older twins 'words was to much to be hidden by his frail hands. "Don't tease me." He whines   , his words only making Jehu smirk more.

"Aww but you get so cute Jess." Jehu stands up putting the book on a tea table nearby , and making a bee line towards the bed where Jesse was laying. " Don't worry that much , it isn't good for the little one here ,is it?" He hums placing his hand on the younger's belly carefully and stroking.

Jesse puffs his cheeks slapping his hands away and glaring at him. "But still.... there was always a letter every three days....I'm worried something may have happened. "

A soft smile replaces the teasing smirk on Jehu's face . He takes a seat at his brother's legs , moving hishand to his knee ."Jess...lil'bro, listen.  Your husband is strong. He's a tough bone to crack, baby bro. He does anything that he puts his mind into. If he promised you that he would come back he definitely will."

"You...you think so ?"

"Absolutely. " Jehu's smile doesn't leave his lips , as he runs his fingers in small circles over the other's knee. He grins widely again." We got ourselves some coconut heads ,bro. "

Jesse giggles at that covering his mouth with his hand , before his face falls at a sudden thought. "....well.....you got yourself the two of them at a time...not my fault for not feeling confident in my marriage..." He whispers looking down at his lap.

"Jesse...." A deep frown came to be on Jehu's face.  The amusement of before crumbling down to guilt. He takes in a shaky breath , biting his lower lip as he raised his hand up to his twins' chin, lifting it up slowly. " Jesse look...I meant what I said before. I'm sorry, seriously. " He looks into the sad emerald-jade pools ." I was blinded ,brother... Jealousy overtook me . And that accident...making me colour blind , snapped something inside me . I'm really sorry, baby brother.......... I wish I could turn back everything really!..."

Jesse meets his eyes hesitantly,  still not moving away from his touch.  Somehow it felt comforting. Probably a cause of the loneliness that was growing inside him as months passed. "Did you......Did you ever love him back ?" His voice cracked as he said those words , his gaze shifting away as soon as he was finished.

"I..." Jehu sighs , bringing both his hands to his lap  . His head tilting back as he stared at the ceiling,  beautifully decorated for the deserving king of this room. "You want a honest answer?"

"That's...what I'm aiming for ,hopefully."

A smile stretched on Jehu's lips at his words." I won't lie....There was a time I was in love with him.... it was difficult not to love him ,honestly....He just ..shone everywhere.  Sparkly eyes,  warm hugs...A big heart.... it just pulled you in ,you'now?"

Jesse bit his lip harder.  He definitely didn't know.  The man he met and spent that little time with was cold , warm at times, yes. But he was so reserved in himself.  A guarded shell surrounding him that Jesse only hoped he had started to crack. He spoke  carefully.  neither affirming nor denying Jehu's words , but still urging him to continue. "What happened then?" He asks taking notice how the some in Jehu's face changed into something delicate,  something so pure that he didn't know he would see on his brother's features again.

"Haou happened..." His voice was breathy , almost as if the other's name was something sacred. " He just...crashed in our lives ,I guess....Dunno , he and I were so similar in a way...and when Jaden left..I got to know him...without knowing the word in love  for Jaden turned to just love ...and the in love took place for  Haou..." Jehu's head falls forward again,  sighing. " I didn't mean to....but I couldn't help it... Jaden was great , believe me !....But Haou... To me he was something else,  something deeper. "

"Oh...." Jesse could feel how messed up things would have been then , he just couldn't help the bitterness that stayed in his chest , the bitterness and the fear.

"Listen....Jess . Jaden does feel something for you I'm sure of it." Jehu turns to him , crossing his legs over one another. " I saw the way he was looking at you when we first met , and I'd tell you ,he never looked at me like that. Like you hung up the stars and the moon...And also .." He grins poking Jesse's belly teasingly. " This little one wouldn't have been here ,if he didn't think he needed you in reality.  He never did anything with me until a year in the relationship. "

Jesse makes a face at that." Image not needed,  thank you very much. " he didn't want that , sue him.

Jehu snorts and ficks his nose up.

"You are so whipped. "

"Shut up!"

A long silence.

".............so.....can I name him ?"

"Oh for god's sake-"

{*giggle * Couldn't help this chapter,  these two needed to get some things straight...or as straight as it can be ~*shrugs*

Sorry for the long wait! Things are a mess here, with uni and all....

P.S....I have still two exams to do...when those will be done , god knows🙃🙃
