"What are you doing here?" Yuri asked as Hendery joined her in the command room. Jimin and Nari had just left for their solo missions, leaving Yuri and Mark alone in the command room as they waiting for Winwin to take them to come back and take them to the Underground City to observe their mentees.
"I need to discuss Jaemin's retrieval mission." Mark said, patting Hendery's back. "He'll be taking over for me."
"So you're just going to let him watch with me?!" Yuri exclaimed, hands on her hips. Mark turned around, giving her a glance.
"I don't know what the big deal is. You just need to step in if anything goes wrong, which shouldn't." Mark said. Yuri shook her head.
"I can't believe you, Mark." Yuri said as Mark walked away ignoring her words. Hendery crossed his arms, lifting an eyebrow.
"You know I heard everything you said, right?" Hendery said to her just as Winwin returned.
"I don't care." Yuri said, stepping into the faerie door. Winwin gave Hendery a look.
"I don't know, either." Hendery told the faerie as he entered the door.
...
"You're late." Taeyong said as Mark entered the meeting room. He took his seat.
"I was sending Jimin off to her initiation mission." Mark said. "Plus there's still people missing."
"Ten and Sejung are working on iridium weapons, so actually, you're the last one here." Jaehyun said, leaning forward. Mark bit his lip, trying not to roll his eyes.
"My bad, can we just get started?" Mark asked. Renjun sighed, turning on the holographics for the meeting.
The meeting consisted mainly of the agency leaders and the junior class. Mark and Lucas were also asked to join since they were part of the group that found Jaemin's location.
"We'll be splitting up into groups to infiltrate the warehouse. The goal is simple, get Jaemin and Doyoung, and get out." Renjun explained. "And if you don't know if someone is a shapeshifter or not, stab them with the iridium knife and you'll find out."
Seems simple enough. Mark thought as he leaned back in his chair. Too simple.
Mark wasn't the only one that noticed as Kun spoke up. "Is that it?"
Renjun gave him a look, adjusting his glasses. "Not to ruin the mood or anything, but this is all I have. I'm not exactly the regular strategist."
"We'll be splitting up into groups." Taeyong said, taking over for Renjun. "Five to be exact. One to get Jaemin, one to get Doyoung, and two to make sure both groups can get them while the last group stays lookout."
"How should we divide it?" Jaehyun asked their leader. Taeyong looked around the room, meeting a certain girl's eyes.
"I don't really care, as long as I get to retrieve Jaemin." Rena said, her eyes a deep violet.
...
Yuri and Hendery sat down on the roof of the building, watching as Nari and Jimin entered the nightclub as the agents did every year during this time.
"Explain." Hendery said once they were settled. Yuri shook her head.
"There's nothing to explain." Yuri simply said but Hendery didn't believe her for a second.
"You're lying. I've known you for over three years now and I know you don't get worked up over nothing so explain." Hendery knew his words got to her when she let out a deep sigh.
"It's so unfair." Yuri said, throwing her head back and looking towards the sky. "Mark gets it so easy."
"What do you mean?" Hendery asked her. Yuri shot him a look.
"Mark literally does nothing and every agent praises the ground he walks on." Yuri told him. Hendery shrugged his shoulders.
"Mark's a hardworking guy though." Hendery pointed out.
"Yeah, but the favouritism is unreal." Yuri argued.
"I think you're not telling me everything." Hendery said, turning to face the girl. He watched as Yuri gulped.
"What do you mean, I'm telling the truth." Yuri said. Hendery leaned closer to her.
"If you were, you wouldn't be this nervous right now." Hendery whispered. Yuri immediately pushed him away as he chucked at her response.
"I wouldn't be so cocky if I were you. One snap and your wand becomes two twigs." Yuri said, baring her fox fangs but Hendery was unbothered.
"Does it have to with your brother?" Yuri was silent and Hendery knew he was right.
"It's not that big of a deal, Yuri. You're Yuta's sister, he's not going to forget about." Hendery said, trying to reassure the girl but he must have failed as Yuri shook her head.
"The clan needs Yuta to train and become the next leader but he refuses. He says he'd rather stay with the agency." Yuri told him.
"I don't blame him and you shouldn't either. Not like you're going back after graduation." Hendery pointed out but Yuri shook her head.
"That's not true, Hendery. If Yuta doesn't go back, I'll be."
Hendery didn't know what to say so he stayed silent watching as the two girls ran out of the bar, chasing after their target.
"Yuri, I think you're just upset that the wizards don't work the same way as the kitsunes." Hendery said, getting up. Yuri sighed.
"I suppose so." Yuri said, following him. The two waited in silence for Winwin to appear, neither of them wanting to talk more about Yuri's situation.
...
"Jimin!" The vampire girl turned to see Jisung running towards her, full force. She smiled at his arms wrapped around her.
"You seem happier than me." Jimin said as she hugged Jisung back. She could feel the eyes of all the agents around her staring, especially Nari, but she ignored it.
"Jimin, you're finally an agent! You have the silver pin now! Don't you know what this means?" Jisung exclaimed as he took a step back, looking the girl in the eyes.
Jimin gulped as she realized how close Jisung's face was to hers, his hands on her waist as he held her in front of all the others.
Before she could answer, a cough was heard to the side and Jisung immediately let go of her, turning to face the person who had made the noise. Taeyong gave them both a small grin.
"That means what there is a lot more about the agency that these two girls need to learn about." Taeyon said, giving this a small smile.
Jimin exchanged looks with Jisung before turning back to Taeyong.
"Does this have anything to do with bringing back my brother?"
