Chapter 27

Jaehyun entered the training area to see Johnny, Jungwoo, and Sejung already there, warming up.

"What is this about?" Jaehyun asked the werewolf.

"It's just a regular training session." Johnny replied. Jaehyun motioned to the two younger ones.

"Then why are-"

"What Jaehyun? Don't think we're good enough for you?" Sejung asked, hands on her hips. Jaehyun shook his head.

"You know what, forget it." Jaehyun said, grabbing the bandage to wrap his fists. "Who wants to go first."

"Me." Sejung said, stepping onto the mat, surprising the three boys. Jaehyun glanced at Johnny who shrugged.

"You're just asking to get beat." Jaehyun said. Sejung smirked.

"Just because you're a demon, doesn't mean you're stronger than me."

Jaehyun decided to play dirty and lurch at the girl. Sejung skillfully dodged it but only by a hair. She huffed as she adjusted her stance.

"Playing dirty already? Thought you were better than that." Sejung said to him.

"No, I'm just testing to see if your reflexes are alright." Jaehyun replied. Sejung made her attack and Jaehyun stood there, just letting her hit him as he flexed his core, lessening the pain. Sejung glared at him.

"What the heck, Jaehyun?" Sejung exclaimed clearly annoying.

"You're not trying your hardest." Jaehyun simply stated. He watched as Sejung's hands balled into fists.

"We're training, not battling. Not all of us want to kill each other!" Sejung yelled into his face. Jaehyun's blood began to boil.

"You don't even know what happened." Jaehyun argued.

"Um, guys." Jungwoo said softly from the side but the two ignored him.

"I don't want to. Johnny and Doyoung said enough." Sejung told him. Johnny?

Jaehyun turned to his friend. "You snitched on me?"

Johnny was clearly taken aback by his words. He held his hands up defensively. "Whoa, I was just telling them what happened."

Jaehyun shook his head, unable to believe what he was hearing. He turned to Jungwoo. "And I'm guessing you voted towards me losing the title of an agency leader as well, didn't you?"

"I..." Jungwoo was definitely hurt by Jaehyun's words but he didn't care.

"It wasn't just him. We all did, Jaehyun." Sejung said, only making Jaehyun more angry.

"I can't believe you all turned your backs on me like that. And out of everyone, you three, my closest friends. You disappointed me the most."

"Jaehyun, what you did was dangerous and you know it." Johnny said but Jaehyun only shook his head. He turned to Sejung.

"Did you hear what her mother said?" Jaehyun asked her.

"No but-"

"She said Sora's soul is there. With the Devil. And she was going to bring her back. I could have brought her back!" Jaehyun exclaimed. He watched as Sejung's face softened.

"What?" Sejung whispered.

"Don't be ridiculous, Jae. Do you really think she was really going to do that? She probably had some other evil plan up her sleeve." Johnny said, butting in. Jaehyun narrowed his eyes at him.

"I can't believe you, Johnny. You're supposed to be my best friend yet you have no faith in me." Jaehyun said.

"Do you blame me, look at yourself! Look at what you've become!" Johnny said, motioning to his hands.
