The sight. Taeil had learned about it during his time at the Academy. It was the ability to forsee the future, a power developed by certain sirens. It was an enhanced version of a regular siren's ability to recieve prophecies, a gift that in the wrong hands, could be catastrophic.

Sirens with the sight couldn't exactly see the furture but could sense and feel what was about to happen. It was as if they could predict the next scene in a play without seeing the script.

"It's extremely rare to have the sight, your know. Only once in a blue moon." Taeil said, casually sitting down onto his bed. The Siren Queen remained standing, hands on her hips as she glared at Taeil.

"And you have it." The queen simply said.

"What makes you think I'm special enough to have such an ability." Taeil asked, with curious wide eyes. The queen just rolled hers.

"If you think that the queen wouldn't know that one of her people had the sight, then you're wrong. You know that out of all of us, my prophecies are the most detailed, giving me an ability almost as powerful as a siren with the sight."

Taeil shrugged his shoulders. "That doesn't mean anything."

Taeil watched as the queen balled her hands in fists, clearly annoyed by him. She took a step forward towards the male.

"I know you saw the Vampire Battle, and I know you saw Sora's death. I know you saw Jaemin get captured and I know you saw Sora's mother tempt Jaehyun. I know you see a bad future if you dare fall in love, which is why you're holding yourself back. And lastly, I know you see that something bad if going to happen but don't know when exactly that will be, which scares you and makes it difficult for you to sleep at night."

Taeil was silent, no words for the queen. Every word that came out of her mouth was right.

"So why did you come here, what do you want?" Taeil asked, even though he already knew the answer.

"Tell me what I want to hear first." The queen said, beckoning him with her hand. Taeil let out a long sigh.

"You're right. I do have the sight, it was an ability I acquired two years ago." Taeil admitted. The queen smiled in satisfaction before it quickly faded.

"Then you must have seen something similar to my prophecy. Someone unexpected will betray us all, someone we trust with our lives, but I want to know who." The Sirent Queen demanded.

Taeil shook his head. "I don't know who is is exactly, I only saw their outline." Taeil told her.

The queen tapped her chin in thought. "Tell me that then, it might help a little bit."

Taeil glanced at the closed door before standing up, walking towards it. He opened up the door, checking the hallways before closing the door again.

"You can't tell anyone, not a single soul." Taeil warned.

"Of course." The queen responded with a nod.

Taeil looked down at his feet, taking a deep breath before staring at his queen in the eyes.

"It was a phoenix."

...

Minjee, Naeun, and Haechan were waiting for Renjun to come out of the Witch Coven Leader's office. After hearing that Minjee and Naeun could convince her, Renjun decided to give it a try.

"What's taking so long, it's been almost an hour." Naeun said, checking the time on her phone.

"Maybe they're eating a meal in there. There's no way convincing could take this long." Haechan said, rubbing his empty stomach. He was supposed to go out for dinner with Renjun after this.
