Daichi opened his eyes, feeling his heart flutter. Oh good lord he woke up at a good time.

Sugawara was on his side, breathing evenly. His hand was next to his head, entangled with Daichi's. His hair was sticking up in places from his constant head movement, giving him that tired bed head look. Daichi smiled and slowly eased into a sitting up position. Sugawara stayed there, sound asleep with his very much adored heated blanket over him.

Daichi walked downstairs, hearing his mother shifting things in the kitchen. "Mom."

"Daichi come here and help me."

"Alright."

"Asahi, sweetheart, are you okay?" Daichi walked into the kitchen and spotted Asahi sat in dining chair, blankly staring at the dark wood. "Asahi?"

"I'm okay."

Daichi grabbed a cup and filled it with juice before setting it down in front of him. "Drink that."

"Thank you."

"Mm." Daichi turned and started to clean the dishes as his mother cooked. They had to be quick if they wanted to get this done and wake up Sugawara. This was going to be hard.

Shinju turned and lifted up the pan on the stove, emptying the contents onto the plate she was holding. Asahi put it on the table and Daichi handed him a small bowl to put on the table with it. After that Shinju put out the rest of the plates and bowls. "Go get him."

"Yes ma'am… hang on." Daichi went to the living room and pulled out a card from the shelf, between two books. He placed it next to Sugawara's plate before going back upstairs.

Carefully, Daichi eased onto the bed and smiled. Sugawara looked so peaceful when he slept.

"Suga…" Daichi whispered, easing his hand into the smaller male's hair, rubbing lightly. Sugawara sighed and burrowed further into the blankets. "Pfft. Sweetheart come on. Wake up."

"Mm…"

Daichi pressed his lips to Suga's forehead and sat up. "Hey…"

"What is it?"

"Guess what today is?" Sugawara shrugged and opened his eyes. Daichi smiled again. "Happy birthday."

Sugawara smiled and sat up slowly. He leaned into Daichi, holding him from around his waist. "Thank you…"

Daichi smiled and rubbed his back. What a precious little smile. He was so sweet. "Come on, we made you something."  Sugawara sat up and started to pepper Daichi's face with soft kisses, incredibly happy. Daichi smiled and eased up to where he was standing. "You are so cute... Come on."

Sugawara stood up and held Daichi, swaying back and forth for a moment. Daichi smiled and grabbed his hand. Sugawara followed him downstairs and had him sit down at the table.

Shinju smiled at how the boy swung his feet under the table, his happy humming making everyone feel better. Sugawara spotted the card and picked it up, his smile softening.

"Happy birthday to me…" He whispered. Daichi sat down next to him and Asahi sat on the other side.

"Fifteen is a big number." Shinju noted. "You guys are getting so big…"

"Ah mom noooo…"

"You are." She smiled. Sugawara smiled back, content. "Go ahead and try the food."

Sugawara took a few bites of the pancakes in front of him and smiled, eyes lighting up. "Good!"

Daichi laughed quietly and started to eat as well. Asahi took the chance and began to eat as well. Everyone enjoyed it, giggling and humming. There was a moment after everyone had finished that there were little glances that the three of them shared. Sugawara had made sure that Asahi was really okay before peppering Daichi's face with kisses again.

It was such a common occurrence that no one minded. He was incredibly affectionate any time he could be. And that was okay because he seemed to be getting better quickly.

"Alright… time to get changed." Daichi stated after Sugawara finally stopped. Sugawara bounded upstairs and and Daichi followed after him, laughing. Oh how precious that boy was to him.

"What are we going to do today?"

"I'm going to take you on a little walk. Asahi can join us if you want."

"Oh can he? That would be awesome!"

"Of course he can." Daichi pecked Sugawara's lips before leaving his room to change in the bathroom. The doors were still locked just in case so he carried a key with him. It went in an area Sugawara wouldn't see it. With the weight gain powder. The one thing he'd never seen. Hopefully he never had to.

"Dai!" Sugawara called.

Daichi left the bathroom, entering his own. "Hm?"

"Guess what?"

"What?"

"Look." Sugawara stepped onto a scale they'd placed in Daichi's room. "Eighty three."

"That's great." Daichi stated, smiling.

Sugawara hugged him and just stayed there. Things were getting better. It was going to be okay.
