Kai let go of Maricruz necklace as he looked at her two-coloured eyes through the mirror noticing that she wasn't wearing her glasses. Kai always had a thing for girls that wear glasses, he always found them cute. He would always be annoyed and puzzled by girls like Cruz, they were too nice, which would make it difficult for Kai to understand but Cruz had this one thing that made him so comfortable with her, he couldn't figure out what it was but he thought It may be how she would make Kai feel good about himself, she would try at least.
She was the only person that didn't think of him as a monster apart from his mom and Jo but he thought that Jo and his mom's feeling about him changed after what he did but he wouldn't think about it to avoid hurting himself more.
Kai snapped out of his thoughts by Maricruz snapping her fingers in front of Kai's face.
Kai:" What?"
He asked as he watch Maricruz walk toward the bed-stand and putting her glasses on.
Maricruz:" I was asking if we can leave". She asked Kai.
Kai:" Oh, yeah. Let's go".

After the conversation with Kai, the couple got more and more worried. Keylina was highly doubting Kai about Maricruz being with him and her being safe. They have a little more than three hours left and they have no idea what to do. Should they go to Portland, to his childhood home?, that is going to take forty one hours by car and more than three hours by plane. They didn't even have an idea where he could be.
Damon had a feeling that Kai was actually telling the truth about Cruz being still alive and an idea, it wasn't the best but that the only thing they could do.
He grabbed the phone and dialled Kai's number, dialled his number than hang up.
He watched as his girlfriend gave him weird looks.
Keylina:" May I know what are you doing?". She asked with an eyebrow raised.
Damon:" Calling the little bastard". He replied as he noticed that Keylina's expression didn't change.
Damon:" If Maricruz is actually with him, she will hear the beeper go off and if she isn't, Kai will pick up again". He explained again.
Keylina:" But she didn't answer the first time, Kai did. I think if she heard it she would try to call us back or something like that".
Damon:" It's pretty early in the morning, she may be showering or sleeping and we both know that this girl is a really deep sleeper". Keylina frowned.
Keylina:" She's not deep sleeper". She said, bending down to tie her shoe lace.
Damon's eyebrows shot up and he let out laugh.
Damon:" Oh, really?. Don't you remember the time that she slept through a freaking fire alarm".
He reminded Keylina as she stood back upright, Keylina's lips made an "0" shape when she remembered.

Maricruz and Kai was driving to Mystic falls in silence, Kai was too busy thinking how was going to pull Damon and Keylina back into the real world. It couldn't be Jo, her magic in the knife in his backpack with him. Her mom divorced his dad and moved to New Orleans, his little brother Damien stayed his mom. Kai doubted that it would be one of them. His dad is out of the question, he would never risk letting his sociopath of son out, so the only persons that could do that would be the twins.
So they knew Jo and the twin, he though to himself. He really wanted to ask Cruz if she knew the twin but he held himself back. A high pitched beeping disturbed the silence, Cruz jumped and looked in the backseat, where the beeping was coming from. Kai's face dropped, knowing they want to speak to Cruz.
Maricruz:" Is that your pager?". She asked, a bit confused. She doesn't know exactly how a pager work, but she know that it goes off when someone called.
Kai stopped the car close to a payphone, he unbuckled his seatbelt and grabbed his bag from the backseat. He pressed a button to stop the beeping and looked at the number displayed on the small screen, It was the same number.
Maricruz:" Kai, what the hell is happening?, Who called you?". She asked Kai, feeling anxious and freaked out about the fact that they were supposed to be the only persons here.
Kai was about to do something that he knew that Maricruz would hate him for that but its the only thing he can do or else they would take Cruz away from him.
Kai:" I'm sorry, Cupcake". He said with a guilty expression on his face, Maricruz frowned but didn't get the time to say something as Kai grabbed the back of her head and smashed it against the dashboard of the car, knocking her out. He placed her body back on the seat properly, noticing a small cut on her eyebrow caused from the blow to the head.
He started the car again and drove toward Mystic Falls. He was decided to get out of there without or with Damon and Keylina here.

Keylina:" It's taking too long, I don't thing that Maricruz is....".
She said, showing no emotion as she thought that she had died months ago, but when Damon came back. she got a little hope but her hope just got crushed.
Damon opened his mouth to say something but a white light wrapped around them and the next second, they were back in the cemetery with an unconscious Liv with blood dripping from her nose.
Keylina:" What the fuck?". She asked and vamp-speed toward Liv. She bit into her wrist and pressed it against Liv's lips for her to drink.
Liv's eyes flew opened and gasped.
Keylina:" What happened?". She asked, helping Liv to sit up.
Damon kneeled down in front of the two woman and waited for Liv's response.
Liv:" I'm too weak for the spell, it require too much magic"
