I gasped for air as Kai sat me up by my shoulders and cradling my face in his neck.
Kai:" I'm gonna kill her." He growled in my hair.
Kai:" Did you she hurt you, Cupcake." I shook my head, breathing in the comforting, sweet smell of his cologne.
" You weren't kidding when you said, she was mad at me." I said, staring down at the knock out body of caroline. What the fuck happened. I almost died, again.
Kai chuckled, his arm tightening around me. His fingers hook around my trembling chin before he lift my head up to look at him. Immediately, I saw his pupils dilate, only leaving a thin ring of ocean blue around them.
Kai:" I would lose my mindif something ever happens to you." He whispered and I smiled but before I could see anything, rushing footstep burst into the room. Kai moved away from but kept his arm wrapped around my shoulder. It was Keylina and Damon.
Keylina looked around the room, frantic until her eyes met mine. She vampsped to me, roughly shoving Kai out of way and she threw her arms around me and rocking me left and right.
She pulled away from me and shook my shoulders.
Keylina:" Oh my god!, Thank you Jesus; You're alive!"
She said, pulling my body to crash in her again.
" Yeah? What gave it away?" I said, trying to break free from her embrace of death. I can feel my ribs cracking. That's not good, right?
Kai:" Alright, Huggsie, Don't forget why she's in the hospital. You will hurt her." He rolled his eyes and Keylina did let me go and glared at him.
Keylina:" What's the sociopath doin' here?" She asked, looking between Kai and I. Damon was quiet with his eyebrows furrowed, his arms crossed and a suspicious look in his eyes.
Damon:" Yeah, what are you doing here?" He asked, the suspicious look in his eyes turning into amusement. He better have not figure this out already.
Kai:" Instead of talking my presence, which by the way saved her life from getting smothered by a crazed blond vampire." He said with a smug smile adorning his face, throwing a wink my way.
Keylina groaned in what I think is disgust and then her eyes went wide as she saw the state of the room. The bed knocked out of place, the pieces of wooden chair and drops of blood splattered everywhere.
Keylina:" We should probably get out of here before she wakes up and goes all mr ghost face on you." She said, pulling me out of bed by elbow. I whimpered as the pain of the bullet wounds shot throughout my body.
"I don't think I will get discharged." I huffed to Damon as he passes me my shoes and a pair of socks from the duffel bag in the corner of the room.
