MY CHEEKS GOT A PINKISH tint at the nickname, I smiled at him and nodded. He flashed me with a big smile, he took a quick look at the sky and lowered his gaze to the ascendant.
Kai gripped my hand harder as he closed his eyes and being to say the spell. The sky got darker and the ground shook a bit, my heart was beating out of my chest, anxious to see if it is really going to work. The next moment I was blinded by a bright white light wrapping around us as Kai's word echoed in my ear.
The atmosphere changed and the light faded, it was morning and we were no longer in the tunnel, we were close to the cemetery. The heavy rain, drenching our clothes but I didn't mind, not feeling how the rain felt was horrible but now it feel relieving.
Our hands still intertwined, we look around and laughed a content laugh.
I looked at Kai, who had a look on his face that made my heart ached, he looked so happy, genuine happy but his expressions changed when his eyes caught mine.
Kai:" So, that the end".
He said, letting so of my hand, so slowly.
Something about what he said made my heart clenched in pain.
I slowly nodded with my expressions flat.
He bought his hand to his shirt and unhooked my glasses from it and handed it to me. I took it but didn't put it on because of the rain. I put it in the pocket on the side of my bag.
I looked back at him to see him backing away.
Kai:" I'm sorry for knocking you out". He said louder.
" I'm sorry for calling you all types of name" I shouted
I said backing away before turning my back on him, I walk a few steps but turned around to see him walking away in the rain. This just doesn't feel right. Suddenly he stopped in his steps, He looked like he was mentally arguing with himself. He started walking back to me with a quick pace. I didn't even question what was happening when I dropped my bag down on the ground and ran toward him. He opened his arms and wrapped them around my waist as wrapped my arms around his neck and our lips connected.
I have kissed people before but this felt different and amazing, our lips caressing each other with the cool breeze but the embrace we were held us a bit more warm. Our lips still in contact, he moved his head to the size to deepen the kiss, we pulled away to catch our breath.
Kai:" I would have never forgave myself if I didn't do that".
He said which made me laugh a slight laugh as I looked up at him.
He quickly grabbed my jaw to place a passionate on my lips and before I got time to bring my arms up again, he pulled away and he vanished.
My eyes flew opened and my face scrunched up in confusion as I looked around.
