WE REACHED A SUPERMARKET a few miles away from the airport, I was sitting in the car with my door opened and my legs on the ground; Kai was inside the supermarket getting ice and something for us to drink, it was almost dark, there was a soft breeze and silence, it felt nice but also had something bugging about it.
Maybe its the sickening silence, I'm so used to hearing people talking, cars and other irritating stuff that used to be annoying to me, I now missed it, sometimes we only complain about what we have and we lose them, that when we realised it's value.
I looked toward the supermarket and remembered everything, how we met Kai and all that happened after and before we got in this prison world.
Pulling me out of my thoughts was Kai kneeling in front of me with ices in a plastic bag, cream and bandage in his hand, i didn't noticed him coming back from the supermarket.
He slowly lifted up my shirt so that he could removed my old bandage; he slowly pressed the ice-filled plastic against my wound, it didn't burn as much as it did last time. Kai did the same thing he did last time, he placed his arm around my waist and i felt his thumb caressing my lower back.
Kai would lift the plastic bag to gently blow on my wound and placing the plastic back while mumbling soft comforting words.
After a while he removed the plastic, applied and antibiotic cream and placed the clean bandage on.
He motioned for me to sit back properly in the car and he placed my seatbelt on for me.

It's has been a few hours since we land and drove through Virginia, it was one am in the morning at this point and I thought that we would be staying in one of the crappy motels that we usually stayed at but Kai persisted that we would sleep somewhere else tonight because it's our last night here, I also took some pictures of Kai being a goofball and around Virginia while we drove toward the Salvatore Mansion; Kai told me that he would hate to feel homesick because 1994 was his home for most of his life so I thought that I could give him the pictures to try to make him feel better but I felt awkward about giving him the camera and what was I supposed to tell him?,so I just sneakily placed it in his bag while we was getting gas.
It was pretty late and we were both getting sleepy, Kai didn't told me anything about where we were going, he told me that it was a "surprise" for me because I helped him get out of his prison and he refused to answer my questions about where we are going nor giving willing to give my hints. Kai was more than exhausted but still refused to let me drive and said that I was tired too and I should take some rest but I didn't want to. We finally came to stop and I looked out of the window to see a luxurious tall building and a big pool on its left side, it had the name "The Moonlight Hotel" at the top of the hotel entrance, I turned to Kai, who was unbuckling his seatbelt with a confused expression on my face.
"What are we doing here?" I asked as he didn't noticed me looking at him.
Kai:" That's where we are staying tonight, it's our last night in this hellhole; why don't we make it unforgettable".
He said with a big smile on his face, he reached toward the backseat and grabbed our bags.
Kai:" It's a five star hotel, we are going to feel like celebrities tonight".
He got out of the car and ran around it in the matter of time that I unbuckled my seatbelt. He opened my door and held his hand out to me, i raised an eyebrow at him but still gave him my hand, he slowly helped me out of the car.
"Being a gentleman, i see". I teased him while closed the car with my hand in his and our backpacks on his shoulder.
Kai:" I'm always a gentleman, cupcake". He replied and walked toward the hotel with our hands still interwined, i was starting to feel a little awkward about him not letting my hand go.
"Always?, like the time you stabbed me with an arrow". I said trying not to think that Kai is caressing my hand with his thumb.
Kai:"Let's not talk about that". He smiled at me and entered the hotel, the whole hotel was of red and gold.
I felt Kai letting go of my hand and saw him heading toward the golden doors of the elevator.
Kai:"Cruz?, you coming?" He asked feeling i wasn't following him, he turned around to look at me and waited for me. I jogged toward him and he pushed on the elevator button. We both got in as i kept admiring around as much as i could.
"You come here often?". I asked turning to look at him to see him already staring through the golden wall of the elevator, he quickly turned around and lean against the wall opposite to me.
Kai:" No, i don't but i thought that we would spend our last night night here". He said popping his neck, i nodded.
"I'm hungry, let's go eat something"
I said because we didn't have lunch nor dinner, which is really weird for me because I eat all the time even when I'm not hungry.
Kai:" You just choose a room and i will take care of our dinner"
He said with a big smile on his face, Kai is being really nice today, I mean he has been a sweetheart to me since he injured me but there something different today very, very diferent.
