I KNEW IT.
Not even a split second , Damon spat out his bourbon and collapse down on the floor , laying on his stomach .
What the hell is happening? I didn't know that.
I ran toward Damon to help him up , but gasped at the feeling of an arm wrapping around my neck , Kai apply some pressure to stress me out and not to kill me . Good news y'all ,OK.
And also thats when i realised our height difference. His chin was resting on my head, well that's not important right now , Cruz you are getting strangled. I bought my arms up to loosen his grip on my throat. I held on his forearm for dear life. At this point ,Damon was coughing oh blood and chunks of......something.
"Kai,what are you doing ?"
Instead of answering my question , he tighten his grip on my neck.
Kai:"Vervain in your bourbon , who didn't see that one coming? Maybe the pretty lady did, You should have listened to her".
He breathed in my hair
OK, He might be crazy. Plus the way ,he was laughing at his own joke which was terrible by the way. His body was shaking but his grip on my neck stayed the same .
"Listen Kai ....leave us alone ".
I said starting to run out of breath , i couldn't see his face , but i could bet that he was smiling .
Kai:"And, why would i do that ?"
He asked dropping his head next to my ear. His hot breath fanning across my cheeks , i tried to turn my face to the other side to avoid having his face so close to mine. He scoffed and lift his head back up and i turn my head back to Damon , who was trying to get up but fell back down while coughing . i never thought that i would see Damon like that , he looked so weak and vulnerable so different from the Damon that i know.
Kai arm was still around my neck , when he started to walk forward Damon. I had to keep up with his steps so as not to fall over . He placed his other hand on my stomach to steady me as he walked. He stopped a few feet away from Damon.
He tighten his grip on my neck and on my stomach which was starting to hurt me.
"Kai, stop it. You're hurting me ".
I digged my nails in his forearm , but i highly doubt that he is feeling anything through his jacket but i am still going to try.
The next moment ,he let me go and pushed me on the other side , next to the umbrella. I rubbed my sore throat while thinking about who the fuck would buy patio stuff from a supermarket ....well whatever.
I turn back toward Damon and started to walk toward him but i froze in my tracks when i saw kai coming toward me. He stopped right in front of me and backed me up till my lower back hit the stand of umbrellas. He reach out to grab the umbrella that was next to me and bought his other hand up to put a stand of curly black hair behind my ear and said.
Kai:"You....you stay here".
I frown while looking at him. He turn back around to Damon . Leisurely strolling closer to him, Kai kept a watchful eye on me . i wonder if he could see how i was dying to make a move.
Kai:"Who buys patio furniture from the store ,i mean someone must have or else it would be here ".
I was thinking about the same the thing . what the hell?
He swayed his turquoise umbrella before lifting his knee up and breaking the umbrella in two.
Something is wrong with me, why do i find this hot. I really need to go to my therapist and what am i going to tell her. "Hey Lynda, I find this loco guy so hot when he broke an umbrella with his knee to kill my friend with it. Can you help me?"
Kai:"I am not familiar with vampires but from what I have gathered a stake in heart should do it".
Just after he said that , he stabbed Damon's hand and started twisting the half of the umbrella . How can he stabbed someone like that .
Kai:"You always fight dirty Damon , like the time you were playing monopoly with her and bonnie and you stole from the bank ..not cool".
I knew he stole damn it . OK Maricruz get your senses back and say something.
"Kai,stop it. Leave him alone!".
I said ,slowly grabbing an umbrella that was behind me and having an idea in my head. He turn to look at me but didn't noticed my hand behind my back.
Kai:"No".
He said and turn back to Damon. Damon got up and said .
Damon:"I'm going to rip your throat out ".
He said while walking Kai . who responded with a "No, you're not "and using the umbrella , he knock down all the bottles of bourbon which was on the shelf , Damon fell down as the the alcohol splashed on him.
Kai: "I vervained them all as i didn't know which bottle ,you were gonna take ".
Smart guy
Kai:"Well.....goodbye Damon."
He said as he lift his umbrella up ready to stab him but stopped when Bonnie's voice echoed in the isles.
Bonnie:"Leave him".
I turned around and grabbed the umbrella and positioning it infront of me.
Kai:"look, the useless one is here ".
Bonnie looked taken back by the word useless. Damn she has been called useless for the second time today. My eyes snapped back to kai as he began talking again.
Kai:"I watched you try to do magic for weeks . what are you gonna do ,fail at me. Im embarrassed for you".
Harsh.
Bonnie turned her gaze to a candle that was on the shelf next to her and concentrated for a sec and the candle ..........it light up.
