"Huh?!" I turn toward him with a shocked expression on my face.
Kai:" What?". He asked like he didn't kill someone.
"Why did you kill him?". I asked.
Kai:" Well, i-oh hell. I don't know why i kill him; he was being annoying so i strangled him with my earphones". He explained having no emotions at all.
"Kai, i-what am i supposed to do; i'm on that case. I will get to you sooner or later". I explained as well but he didn't respond.
Kai:" Cupcake, do you think that i'm an amateur at that. I made sure to destroy my fingerprints before leaving". He replied.
"Why did you kill him though...". I asked, clearly hurt by his actions. He can't go out killing innocent people.
Kai noticed the change in my features. Kai:" I don't know".
I sighed before kicking him out of the car. Kai:"Ow, can i get a kiss before?". he asked.
"Fuck off". I pushed him out of the car. I took a deep breath before putting my seatbelt on and starting the car.

I pulled up a few bocks away from Mystic grill. The body wasn't near the Mystic grill at all. I checked myself one last time in the rearview mirror before getting out of the car. I showed the officer my badge and he left me pass under the yellow caution tape.
The taxi was parked; Kai waited to reach his destination before killing him. The guy was laid back in his seat, eyes closed. People would think that he was just sleeping but taking a closer look, there was a mark across his neck and Kai had placed the earphone in his ears.

O'Connor:" Fernandes!, you're here". He said coming to stand next to me.
"Lieutenant, what made you change your mind". I asked, standing straight and crossing my arms. He sent me back home and now he called me back.
O'Connor:"Jackson and kaufmann is on the dance school case, and this one looks tricky; I need my best detective on this case".
"Best detective, huh?". I smiled.
He nodded with a little crooked smile. O'Connor:" So, we have Maximus Burner over here. A thirty-one year old man. cause of death: asphyxiation".
"What about the crime-weapon, did you find it?". I asked, acting as I would normally.
O'Connor:" No, but Cho concluded that it was some plastic-ky string". He replied while putting on a pair of latex gloves and handing me a pair.
"Like the earphones; they are not even connected to a phone". Kai said that he destroyed his fingerprints so, there's nothing to be scared off.
He peeked inside the car, his eyebrows lifted up and he smiled at me. O'Connor:" You're right. The earphone would match with the marks on his neck.
"Now, that we have the crime-weapon; we need to send it to the lab and in the meanwhile I wi-" He cut me off before I could finish my sentence.
O'Connor:" We, I'm your partner on this case" He said.
Having to work with the lieutenant while tying to cover up for Kai will be hard, very, very, very hard.
"Amazing, we should get to the precinct and call the family members for investigation".
°°° At the Salvatore mansion
Keylina and Damon was upstairs in their bedroom, talking about what had happened earlier with Kai and the border. The only thing they didn't know was that Kai was also inside the home looking for the vials of vampire blood that they hid. In the prison world of 1994, Kai noticed that the Salvatores would have vials of vampire blood for unknown causes. The vials was hidden in a secret compartment over the fire place.
Damon using his vamp-hearing heard some shuffling downstairs but he figured out it was Stefan. Kai ran his hand over the carved wood of the fireplace before punching it. The wood cracked open and he peeled it with his hand exposing the shiny crimson. He smiled to himself before grabbing three goals and running out of the house and into his stolen car parked blocks away from the mansion.
Kai is someone who is full of himself but he was still doutfull of Jo's magic. If she get enough time to practice; she might beat him. Kai relaxed against his seat, catching his breath. He opened the vials of blood and pouring it down his throat. He pulled his pocketknife out of his pocket and waited for a moment so that the blood get the time to work. Sitting in his seat, in the shade; he thought of her, of Cruz. He would always feel weird around her, she was the one that always bought him peace.
Kai didn't hesitate before running the cold blade over his throat. He coughed as he felt the blood feeling his mouth gagging his. The open wound on his throat squirtting blood all over his shirt. The beat of his heart started to slow down as he collapsed down on the steering wheel, tears automatically in his eyes and he shakily breathed out his last breath.
A few minutes passed by and his heart started pumping again, his breathing uneven at first. His fingers started slowly moving before he opened his eyes with a gasp. He slowly sat back up straight in his seat. He shut his eyes closed as his hands moved up to cover his ears. He could hear everything single thing, which to him in the moment sounded just like a high pitched movie.
He grunted, pressing his hands harder to his ears, he could feel his face changed as he smelled fresh blood nearby. He reached for his perfume in the glove-compartment and sprayed it aggressively around him. His face felt normal again, he could still smell the blood but the perfume was way too strong. The noises started to fade, his hands held from his ears and he exhaled. He glanced at himself in rearview mirror, his grey shirt turn red and his throat was uncut.
He grabbed his pocketknife and pressed it against his arm, he bled but healed not even a second after. He looked at himself in the rearview mirror before popping his neck and smirking. He's a vampire now. He just gave to make daylight ring.
