Meryl have thought of Pierce's request for her to fly to London for them to attend the party and Meryl did everything she can to ask for atleast a three-day off for Pierce, for she really don't want to disappoint him.

"I flew all the way here and I'll still be alone the whole day, great."Meryl said when she woke up and found her boyfriend already fixing his tie in front of the mirror.

"Is that how you greet me early in the morning?"Pierce asked as he look at her through the mirror.

"Whatever you want it to mean."Meryl said, slowly sitting up and Pierce just shook his head in dismay.

"Okay, I'm freaking hungry."Meryl said and she tied her hair in a bun before standing up.

"Have you eaten?"Meryl asked as she head to the kitchen.

"Yes, and I also cooked your food. Just re-heat it if you want."Pierce answered and he went to the apartment's living room to put on his shoes.

"When's the party again?"Meryl asked as she close the microwave door before pressing some buttons.

"Tomorrow."Pierce simply answered.

"I don't have a dress yet."Meryl said and Pierce looked at her.

"What?Why didn't you buy something in New York?"Pierce asked and Meryl rolled her eyeballs.

"Well, I was busy asking my director if I can take a leave for the party."Meryl answered almost a shout and Pierce let out a sigh before heading to where she is.

"I'm sorry. I know you came here for me to be happy and I'm sorry if I'm putting in this stress."Pierce said as he slowly encircle his arms around her waist.

"Can you come with me in shopping for my dress?Please?"Meryl asked softly, wrapping her arms around his neck.

"I'll see what I can do, okay?Maybe after lunch. I'll call you."Pierce answered and she sweetly smiled.

"I love you. Thank you for doing this for me."Pierce said and he planted a soft kiss on her lips.

"I love you, too."Meryl replied and he kissed her forehead.

"I'm off to work. I'll call you, okay?"Pierce said and she nodded.

He left with a final kiss on her lips and on her forehead and she is once again alone, just like when she is in New York. She have the whole place to herself so after she ate breakfast, she decided to just clean the apartment. The phone started ringing after a few moments, and she answered it right away.

"Hello?"She uttered softly.

"Hi, may I speak to mrs. Brosnan?"The voice from the other line uttered that made her giggle.

"Uhmm, speaking."Meryl answered with a huge smile plastered on her face and she heard him chortle from the other line.

"What you doi'n, babe?"Pierce asked.

"Just cleaning up the apartment."Meryl answered and he hummed.

"About the buying of the dress,"Pierce started and Meryl hummed.

"I was able to ask them if I can go out for a couple of hours and they allowed me to so I'll see you at our favorite restaurant for lunch, is that okay?"Pierce asked and she chuckled.

"More than okay."Meryl answered.

"Okay, I'll see you, babe. I love you so much. Take care."Pierce said.
