Meryl is currently doing a movie and she is away from home. Her husband Pierce is also doing a movie so they are both busy at the moment and both are alone.
In her new film, Meryl had to speak in an Irish accent. At first, she got excited because Pierce is Irish, although Pierce's accent is already a mix of an Irish and a Bristish accent. Meryl got a coach for her to learn the accent easier but somehow, she is still having a hard time.
"Meryl, be careful on some of the words."Her coach uttered when she tried reading her line with the accent.
"Why?What's wrong?"Meryl asked in curiosity.
"You are over-emphasizing some of the words again. It's okay to read it slowy for you to hear yourself too."Her coach said and she nodded.
For almost two weeks, she spent 2 hours or sometimes 3 hours with her dialect coach and there are times when she really gets frustrated of herself.
"First shooting day tomorrow Meryl. Don't screw it up."She said to herself and breathed in and breathed out for a couple of times. She prepared for bed and before she turn off her lamp, she heard her phone ring. She quickly answered it, and it is the call that she's been waiting for.
"Hey, baby."The voice from the other line greeted and of course, it is Pierce.
"Hi."Meryl greeted shyly.
"How's your day?"He asked and Meryl heaved a deep sigh.
"I think I won't be able pull this Irish accent off."Meryl immediately uttered.
"Why would you even think that? You are the greatest actress of all time babe."Pierce said and she groaned.
"But babe, I keep on screwing it up. I've been studying it for two weeks and yet, I still don't get the proper emphasis of some words. The placement and other more shits."Meryl blurted out.
"Hey baby, relax. Just breathe in, breathe out. You are just in panic mode and that's it. You need to calm your nerves."Pierce said softly and she buried her face on her pillow.
"What if I screwed up and they'll fire me?"Meryl asked and Pierce heaved a deep sigh for his wife is having a breakdown but he isn't there for her.
"Babe, babe, listen to me. It is just an Irish accent. You did lots of harder things than that. You learned how to speak German and Polish and you're giving up on an Irish accent?Merl, baby, I know I am not there to hug you, to physically comfort you but believe me, you can do that. I know you can."Pierce answered and Meryl shed a tear but she immediately wiped it.
"I won't get fired on the first day?"Meryl asked in her teeny tiny voice and it made Pierce chortle.
"I promise, you won't."Pierce said softly.
"Okay, good night. I'm sleepy."Meryl said and Pierce smiled even if she can't see.
"Good night, baby. I miss you and I love you so much."Pierce said.
"I miss you more. I wish you were here. I love you too."Meryl replied before ending the call.
The next day, Meryl headed to the first day of their shoot and she is relieved to see her dialect coach present on the set. She greeted her co-stars and the director before heading to her trailer. She called Pierce even if she is not sure if he is going to answer but luckily, after two or three tries, he answered.
"Hi babe, you already on set?"Pierce asked right away.
"Yes, and I am literally shaking."Meryl answered.
"Relax. You may not nail it at the first few takes, but you will perfect it. Trust me."Pierce said and Meryl nodded.
"Yeah, you're right."Meryl said.
