Meryl flew back to New York right away after leaving Pierce at the party and she's in so much pain that she can't manage to even go to her and Pierce's apartment. She headed straight to her friend's.

"Oh, my God, Meryl, what happened?"Her friend asked as she let Meryl enter her apartment.

"Can I stay here f-for uhmm for a while?"Meryl asked.

"Of course! What happened?"Her friend asked.

"I think I just broke up with him, Christine."Meryl answered and Christine went to the kitchen to grab a glass of water for her.

"What?What happened?"Christine asked and Meryl just started narrating everything.

"You know what, in my opinion, you did the right thing. I know you love Pierce so much, we all know that you want to spend the rest of your life with him but telling him what you truly feel, and letting him figure things out on his own is the right thing because Meryl, you don't deserve to be just the girlfriend who is always there to make your boyfriend happy. You are already unhappy for God's sake."Christine uttered.

"I still love him, Christine. I-I still want to be with him."Meryl cried.

"I-I don't think I can get through the days without him calling me, I...I m-miss him."Meryl said and Christine let out a sigh.

"You know what you'll do the next days?"Christine asked.

"Fly back to London and tell him I'm sorry?"Meryl asked and Christine did a facepalm.

"No!You will continue working, you can live with me for a while, we will help you have a good time as a single lady, you'll be a woman who will not please anybody just to make them happy. It's time to make yourself truly happy."Christine answered.

"But I am happy with Pierce."Meryl said and Christine hit her forehead.

"You are only happy when you two are okay but when you already started doing his favors to make him happy, you are not!"Christine exclaimed.

"You can't be Mary Louise Streep-Brosnan if you're unhappy. Think about how unhappy you'll get if you're going to get married now."Christine said and Meryl is just sobbing.

"Give your self time, give him his time. I believe that you two will still end up with each other but you need to be both matured apart. Yes, this is going to be torture because you are madly in love with that Irish man of yours but just let yourselves rest."Christine said and Meryl nodded.

"Yeah, you're right."Meryl said and she started wiping her tears.

"Now, get some rest. My God, you left the party then straight to the airport?"Christine asked when she realized what Meryl's wearing.

"What?I don't have a choice, I was so upset, I needed to leave."Meryl answered.

"But damn, woman, that's a good a dress right there."Christine said and Meryl laughed.

"This is some expensive shit to piss of my man and at the same time make him drool. A little black dress."Meryl said, standing up.

"I need to take a shower, this dress is killing me on how tight it is."Meryl said and Christine laughed.

"Is that on your size?"Christine asked.

"No. You think I'll get this in my size?"Meryl asked and the two of them laughed.
