It's Pierce's birthday and he planned on just celebrating with his girls for he really isn't in the mood to have even a small party. They ordered food for he insisted it because he doesn't want Meryl to cook.

"Are the food already here?"Pierce, who just came from his studio asked Meryl who is preparing the table.

"Yeah. I'll just call the girls in the living room."Meryl answered and Pierce nodded with a smile.

"Mom, is dinner ready?"Ali asked all of a sudden.

"Yes, it is. Where are your sisters?"Meryl asked as Pierce sit at the head of the table.

"Kai is just in the bathroom and Oli is just talking with someone for school."She answered and Meryl nodded.

"Can you please get daddy's cake?"Meryl asked and Ali smiled.

"Of course mommy. Daddy's 41st cake."Ali answered, teasing their father and Pierce just rolled his eyeballs.

"Hey daddy!"A voice suddenly uttered and it's Oli.

"Hi, princess."Pierce greeted.

"Happy birthday, daddy."Oli said softly and she kissed her father's cheek before sitting at his left.

"Thank you, princess."Pierce replied and Kaia suddenly entered their dining area.

"What took you so long?"Ali asked as she put Pierce's cake at the center of their table.

"Uhmm, I just needed to freshen up."Kaia answered and she sat beside Oli. Meryl sat at Pierce's right and Ali sat beside her.

"How about a prayer before we eat?"Meryl asked and Pierce nodded. She lead the prayer and they started eating after.

"This is good steak right here."Pierce uttered as he finish his food and Meryl chortled.

"Anyone wants champagne?"Meryl asked all of a sudden.

"Yes, please."Pierce answered.

"Me too, I need a drink."Oli uttered and Pierce and Meryl raised a brow.

"Me three. I also need a drink."Ali said and the parents looked at her too with eyebrow raised.

"You know that you can ask mom and I if you need help on your school works."Pierce said as Meryl stand up to grab a bottle of champagne and flute glasses.

"No dad, it's fine. It's just, doing lots of essays while filming documentaries is just so stressful."Ali replied.

"Oh, that's why you've been in and out of the house the past days."Pierce said and the twins nodded.

"Okay, dad will do the honors in opening this bottle of champagne."Meryl said and Pierce stood up before grabbing the bottle from Meryl. They heard a pop after Pierce removed all the seals and his girls widely smiled. Pierce poured champagne on each of the girls' glasses but Kaia refused.

"You don't want a drink?"Pierce asked.

"No dad, I'm fine with apple juice."Kaia answered and Pierce just nodded.

"Cheers to dad's 41st birthday!"Meryl exclaimed and they all did a toast.

"Wanna say something to dad, mommy?"Oli asked and Pierce looked at Meryl.

"Well, I just wanna say, happy birthday babe. I love you, you know that. Thank you for everything that you've done for me and for the girls, and in spite of everything that we have gone through in the past, I can say that you have gained all my trust and I have faith in you that you have really changed."Meryl said and Pierce gave a peck on her lips.
