Lifetime Achievement Award

When Meryl and Pierce's daughter turned one, the couple went back to juggling between work and family, not just Pierce juggling between work and family.

"Babe, I'm home!"Pierce yelled from the living as he drop his bag on the sofa.

"Dada!"A little voice squealed and he suddenly saw his little girl running towards him.

"Hi, baby."Pierce greeted and he carried her right away.

"Kiss, dada."Pierce said and she kissed her father's cheek right away.

"Where's mommy and Benj?"Pierce asked.

"Kitchen, babe!"Pierce heard a voice utter and he is sure that it is Meryl. He headed to their kitchen right away, and Meryl and Benjamin are there, cooking.

"Hey, babe."Pierce greeted and he planted a soft kiss on his wife's lips.

"What's the celebration?Why are you cooking a lot?"Pierce asked as he kiss his son's forehead.

"Because, the head of uhmm AFI called me,"Meryl started and Pierce hummed.

"And they want me to receive the lifetime achievement award."Meryl added and Pierce's eyes went round.

"Oh, my God, babe!"Pierce exclaimed and he pressed his lips against hers.

"Oh, my God, I'm so proud of you. You deserve it more than anyone in the world."Pierce said after he pulled back and she smiled.

"The prize of filming a movie with a one-year-old on set."Meryl said and they both laughed.

"I love you."Pierce said and Meryl smiled.

"I love you, too, my love."Meryl replied.

"Okay, Bey and I will prepare the table now."Pierce said and Meryl chuckled.

"Yes, please."Meryl said and Pierce started preparing the table.

Pierce is the one who tucked Benjamin to bed after their dinner, and he is also the one who put Beatrice to sleep.

"I'm taking a shower."Meryl said and Pierce just nodded. Pierce's phone suddenly started ringing and he answered it right away.

"Hello?"Pierce answered.

"Hey, Pierce, what's up?"The caller asked right away.

"Hey, Rick, I'm good."Pierce answered.

"That's good. So I know that you're home and I am also sure that you know what will happen to your wife."Rick uttered.

"She will receive the AFI lifetime achievement award."Pierce said.

"Yes, and I want you to keep this as a secret."Rick said and Pierce's forehead crease.

"They want you to talk and tell something about your wife. Are you okay with that?"Rick asked and Pierce nodded.

"Of course, I would love to say something."Pierce said.

"Don't worry, the event is in two months, you have lots of preparations to do."Rick said and Pierce nodded even if he can't see.

"Okay, thank you."Pierce said and he ended the call.

"Who was that?"Meryl who just came out of the bathroom asked.

"My assistant. She just told me about my schedule tomorrow."Pierce lied and Meryl nodded.

The weeks following after Meryl received the call that she's going to receive the AFI Lifetime Achievement Award, they have been preparing for the event. Meryl called her brothers to go to the event, and Meryl also decided to bring Benjamin and Beatrice to the event even though they won't fully understand it, especially their youngest but the event is a big deal for Meryl that's why she really wanted them to be there.
