Thomas’s POV
Game time na naman. Kinakabahan ako kaya pumunta muna akong simbahan. Ganito kasi ginagawa ko para hindi ako magworry. I know He will help me.
1:00 nakarating yung bus namin sa MOA, lahat kami excited lalo na tong si Jeron. First time ata niya sa UAAP makakaharap Ahia niya. Actually excited na din ako sa match up nila and excited na rin talaga ako maglaro.
Nung pumasok kami ng Arena, grabe ang daming tao! Sea of yellow and green. Dinala ko yung “Never shall we fail” shirt ko, at yung lucky charm ko na stuff toy which was indirectly for me pala. Syempre, ayoko mabigo ang mga kapwa Lasallista ko.
And then the game started. Pagkashoot ko, tumingin agad ako sa crowd. Wait, is that Alex? Buti nalang nag timeout si Coach Gee. Tinitigan ko kung tama ba yung nakita ko. After a minute, confirmed. Si Alex nga yun. Bumilis tibok ng puso ko. Bakit siya nandito? Oh wait, ang stupid pala ng tanong ko. Malamang sinusuportahan niya team nila. Siguro gusto lang niya manuod. Pero siguro gusto niya ako mapanuod? Pero bakit naman? Bakit ngayon pa?
It was a rollercoaster ride I must say. Sayang nga lang na we fell short. Pero sabi ni Coach, okay lang daw. Bawi nalang daw next game.
“Thomas, good game. Kailangan ganyan din ang kumpiyansa mo next game okay? Bawi tayo. Laban” sabi ni Coach Gee
“Yes coach. Kaya yan.”
“Mukhang inspired ka ah, pansin ko kasi tingin ka ng tingin sa crowd. Nakita mo ba si Kath?”
And then naalala ko, si Alex. Andun si Alex. Sana hindi pa siya umaalis.
“Uhm… yes coach. O sige Coach, ligo na po ako ah.”
Nagmadali akong mag shower para makalabas agad
Andaming tao pag labas ko, and hindi ko agad nahanap si Alex kasi andaming nagpapapicture. Lumakad ako to find her….And then I saw her. The girl I loved before. Ang ganda pa rin niya kahit nakatalikod siya. I immediately approach her and her friends. Nagbuntong hininga muna ako before I utter a word.
“Hey Alex? Is that you?”
Malamang siya yun. How can you forget her? Ano ba naman Thomas. Umayos ka nga.
“Alex? Alex?”
“Hey Thomas.” Sagot naman ni Alex
“Good to see you Alex. It’s been a year since huli tayong nagkita.”
Ang ganda mo pa rin. The same girl.
“Oo nga eh. Tumangkad ka ah.”
“Grabe ka naman! Hindi naman no, ang ganda mo pa din”
