Dec blinks his eyes open and then blinks again as he came face to face with a complete stranger.
His heartbeats quicken as the middle-aged man raised his hands and he visibly flinches as he placed it on either side of his head.
Seeing his panic, the man retreats his hands and starts to speak kindly: "Hello Declan, I am Dr. Morris. How are you feeling now?"
Dec blinks yet again and his heart flutters inside his chest to see the black-haired man behind the doctor, his hands crossed, hair messed, staring at him with concern- filled eyes.
Dec: "m fine" he mumbles, feeling anything but
The doctor obviously doesn't take it for an answer and goes on to inspect his wrist and eyes and heartbeat. Dec lets him do that, his eyes occasionally moving to Ant as a silent request to hold him tight and keep him safe.
Dr. Morris: "You are a bit weak, Declan. I expect you were overwhelmed today? Your blood pressure is all over the place. Take rest and eat something healthy... you will be alright"
Dec nods at him mechanically as everything the doctor said went over his head. The kind-faced man then takes his leave, but not before quietly whispering something to Ant who nods politely.
