Never Stopped Loving You

It was already late when Dec walked back to his hotel room, after helping Leo with the documents he had to check. After hearing what all the younger man had gone through, Dec couldn't help but sympathize with him. He clearly knows what it is to be pressured by your parent's expectations and he has suddenly felt to be able to relate to the other man. More the reason why he wanted the kid away from Dorian. 

The name causes him to roll his eyes and subtly looks behind him wondering what else would the con man be plotting right now. Dec felt his stomach grumble for food and decides to have his dinner ordered to his room. He takes the key from his pocket and searches for his door, all the time aware of the fact that Ant could be in any of these rooms. As he finds his room and swipes the keycard on the lock, his heart skips noticing that it's already open. Not Dorian!

He grits his teeth and pushes the door open to storm in, only to stop still seeing the man on the couch.

Dec:  "What are you doing ?"

Ant:  "I am...sitting on...a sofa?"

Dec:  "In my room?"

Ant bites his lip at that "Our room, you know... fiance-fiance and all that-"

Dec:  "what?!!"

Ant rolls his eyes and passes him a thank you card.

Ant:  "Cassandra arranged this"

Dec frowns " Mrs. Donnetello?"

Ant nods at that "She wants to thank us for saving her life. She is paying for our stay"

Dec:  "But we don't need to pay anyways"

Ant:  "Not if we are okay with their basic provisions. We need to pay them in case we want more"

Dec:  "I wonder what her definition of more is!"

Ant bites his lips again before saying: "Err, like how she booked us a honeymoon suite?"

Dec:  "What?! This can't be! You know what, that's it! I am going to book another room-"

Ant:  "This is Paris, Dec. And all the rooms in this hotel are full"

Dec: "Then I will sleep in the lobby than-"

Ant:  "Is that even allowed?"

Dec huffs at that and turns around to leave but Ant suddenly stops him.

Ant:  "Wait!  If you leave now it will spark concerns among the group. They all think that we are still together and Cassandra was very specific about us doing these deals together"

Dec:  "We are partners nevertheless"

Ant shakes his head  "That's not enough, I don't think she will trust us to work together if she gets to know about our- our breakup"

Dec's heart tugs at that word

Dec:  "But I am not staying with you!"

Ant: "This is a deluxe room, Declan. You can take any room you want..."

Dec: "Then I am taking the master bedroom!"

Ant:  "It's all yours"

Dec makes a face at Ant and walks inside the room to see his luggage already in place. He knew I would ask for this bedroom

He plonks himself on the bed suddenly feeling tired and was clearly annoyed when the doorbell sounded. He literally groans as Stephen's voice is heard: "Ready for dinner?"

Ant: "I don't think Dec will be up for that. He seemed so tired"

Dec's heart tugs at that while Stephen wondered "He told you so?"
