GIICHI

I went into my room after taking a fresh shower with the memories of a few moments still intact whilst replaying in my mind like an endless loop. I plopped down on my bed and looked at the corner that Shinobu Nee- San once occupied. I crawled over to the spot and lied there for a moment. I could still smell the faint scent of that honey-flavored perfume she wore. I smiled as I closed my eyes and rested 'I don't sound like a pervert... do I?!' I thought to myself. I suddenly remembered the things that went down in our group chat this afternoon. I sat up and grabbed my phone to text Sabito.

G: She went home now.

S: So what happened?

G:I'll tell you and Makomo tomorrow. My head might burst because I've blushed too much today

S: Gosh Darn it! You got me more curious!

S: But fine. You better tell us tomorrow okay?

G: Of course. Night

S: Night.

I sighed as I threw my phone on the bed and stood up to fix my room a bit. I noticed my laptop was on my side table, deciding to put it back on my desk, I carried it there. Before I placed the laptop on my desk, I noticed a small piece of paper neatly placed on top of it. I grabbed it and put the laptop on my desk. Curious to know what was inside, I turned the lamp on my desk on and sat on my chair. I examined the paper a bit before unfolding it. The handwriting was very neat and aligned.

"I don't mind walking with you on the way to our schools. We're always waiting by the bakery. See You, Giichi- kun! Love, Kochou Shinobu."

I felt my heart pounding after reading the short note 'That means I'll see Shinobu Nee- San everyday!?' The thought of walking to school everyday with her was like a fantasy. I smiled with so much joy and put the note at the back of my I.D. card as well as fixing my things for tomorrow. It would be a Friday tomorrow then the weekend. I had kendo practice tomorrow and the day after. Climbing in bed with a joyful smile on my face, I had a very peaceful sleep that night.

Morning came as I rushed to take a shower and dress up. I ran down the stairs and into the kitchen where Nee- San was preparing a simple breakfast "Giichi? Your very early today." She said as she gave me a bowl of cereal and poured some milk in it "I don't want to be late." I replied before munching my cereal quickly "Slow down! Late for what?" She asked as she sipped her coffee calmly "Shinobu Nee- San and I are going to walk to school." I paused to speak before continuing to gobble it all up. Nee- San almost spit out the coffee she had been currently drinking. Unfortunately, some small spills of the liquid fell onto the table. She coughed a few times due to the regurgitation of her coffee "Wh-at!?" She exclaimed. I just nodded and finished my bowl "I-I'll head out with you then." She said as she chugged her remaining coffee and took a few more scoops of her cereal before putting it in the fridge "Hurry, Nee- San! She won't be there if we're late!" I said pulling on her sleeve "Do you have your kendo uniform and shinai?" She asked as she tapped her shoes on. I was excited enough that I packed everything I needed since last night "Yes I do. Let's go hurry!" I said before pulling her out the door and down running on the sidewalk "G-Giichi! Wait! It's been so long since I came with you to school." My sister said as she let out a small laugh "So where are you meeting her?" She asked "The famous bakery around the corner!" I said still dragging her across the street. I made the said turn where the bakery was and a big smile came across my face when I saw her waiting outside.

"Shinobu Nee- San!" I called out leaving my sister behind and running towards her waving. She looked at me with a slightly shocked face, but it soon turned into a bright smile "Good morning!" I said as I stood in front of her "Good morning, Giichi- kun." She greeted back as she ruffled my hair "Ah, Shinobu- chan! Is your sister here?" My sister asked her looking around "Good morning, Tsutako- chan. She's inside getting donuts." Shinobu Nee- San pointed inside where her sister was ordering some donuts and once again waiting for a certain policeman to come by "I see. I'll wait with her then! You and Giichi can go ahead if you'd like." My sister said opening the bakery's door "Let's go, Shinobu Nee- San!" I said as I held her hand with a wide smile. My confidence level today was on a different kind of high "Let's go then!" She said grabbing mine back. We waved our farewells to my sister as she entered the bakery leaving Shinobu Nee- San and I to walk our way to school.
