Chapter 9: Found you

GIICHI

"Giichi!" I heard my sister's voice call outside my door as knocks followed "Get up! You'll be late if you don't!" She said. I didn't want to get up, my body was stopping me. I had no choice but to force myself up. She continued to knock on my door as I was scrambling in my room. I let out a sigh "Giichi! Hu-" "I heard you, Nee-San. You'll be late for work." Her knuckles knocked on my hard bare chest as I opened the door "I prepared your breakfast on the table and I'll be back late tonight." Nee- San replied as she walked to the living room and I followed "Anything special happening?" I asked as I sat at the dining table while she started packing her things "Just meeting with an old friend." She said with a smile. I looked at her confused as my eyes asked the question "Kanae- chan!" She exclaimed. I felt like I was deep in my thoughts as I stopped my spoon midway as my eyes widened "Kanae Nee- San..." I said as I trailed off then it hit me "T-That means! Shinobu Nee- San is-" "Yes, she's here. But she lives alone now since Kanae- chan lives with Shinazugawa- san." Nee- San said with a smirk. My face lit up as I heard the news that she was actually here "Didn't you promise to find her? What are you doing?" She said before closing the door. A wide smile appeared on my face as I gulped down my breakfast and took a quick shower. I hurriedly dressed up and almost forgot my necktie. I ran out the door and down the street as I passed many people minding their own business. I checked my watch and noticed I had 10 minutes till the bell rang so I decided to take a shortcut. I turned into an alleyway as I jumped a fence and dashed through the street "Good Morning, Tomioka- san!" One of the restoraunt owners greeted me as I passed by and they were just opening "Good Morning, Mrs. Iguro!" I greeted slightly turning to her and waved. Her husband was beside her as they both waved at me. I crossed the street and back to the side walk, but there was an interruption.

"Coming through!" Two construction men warned as they carried heavy pipes "Hakuji- san! Watch out!" One of them exclaimed as they saw me. I was nearing them as I quickly slide on the ground and passed underneath the pipes "Sorry!" I yelled as I continued my run. I turned and right before me was my school. I ran until I bumped into someone "Ah! Sabito! Let's hurry up!" I said as I helped him up and we dashed into the school gates. We ran up the stairs and entered our classroom panting. Everyone was looking at us as we made our way to our seats.

"It's Tomioka- kun and Sabito- kun!"

"Tomioka- san is sweating, he looks so hot!"

"Sabito's looking manly. What's up, dude?" One of our male classmates said as Sabito gave him a high five and they started talking. I sat down in my seat and slouched due to my tired body. I got my handkerchief out of my bag and wiped the dripping perspiration off my face. The bell rang and the classroom quieted down. The front door swung open as our principle walked in which caught us off guard since he doesn't regularly visit our classroom "Good Morning, everyone!" He greeted "I don't usually come to classrooms unannounced, but I am here to introduce you to your new homeroom teacher." He said before he gestured to someone outside. He wore a white buttoned up shirt with the first few buttons open. A black vest on top and slacks. His face, arms, and chest had scars. That's when it hit me "I'm Shinazugawa Sanemi. I'll be your homeroom and math teacher from here on." He said slightly irritated and the principle exited the room. My eyes widened at him as his eyes scanned the room and landed on me. His eyes widened as well before he pointed at me "You're here?!" He exclaimed. I started laughing as my classmates started looking at us confusingly "Long time no see Shinazugawa- san." I replied with a smile "That Sensei to you, Giichi. I'm not an officer anymore." He replied with a smirk. He walked up to me and leaned in my ear "She's been waiting for you." He said calmly. I was shocked because I knew who he was talking about "What school?" I asked curious and eager to find her "Tokyo U." He replied and walked back into the front of the classroom. I nodded as my mood lit up "Now! Let's get started." Shinazugawa- SENSEI said before opening his lesson plan. Sabito leaned near me "Who were you talking about?" He asked as he was trying not to get caught. I snickered quietly "Shinobu Nee- San." I simply replied as I started to listen to the lesson "No way! You're still finding her?! What's your relationship anyway?!" He asked. I zipped my mouth as a sign that I won't answer his questions. He continued pestering me with questions as I ignored him with a soft smile on my lips with Shinobu Nee- San in my mind. Shinazugawa- sensei heard his questions and finally had enough of it. He threw a piece of chalk at his forehead as a tick appeared on his forehead "Oi, pay attention." He said before turning back to the board. My classmates were still shocked at how perfect his aim was in a split second, but it didn't bother me since I knew he was a former officer. I prompted my elbow on the table and rested my chin on my hand while writing my notes in my notebook.
