Chapter 12: The night over

Shinobu played the movie before resting herself on Giichi's chest. They peacefully watched the movie that seemed like it was uninteresting at first. They got to the part where the shark cage fell down to the bottom "Oh shit!" Shinobu said when they hit the bottom. Giichi lokked at her down on his chest. He could smell her vanilla scented hair. The latter couldn't help, but think it was exquisite as it calmed his nerves down. They got to the part where one of the sisters decided to go find the diver that came to save them outside of the cage. The girl was being chased by a shark as she went into a small opening that had another small opening for her to exit from, but the shark tried to break through "Mother fucker!" Shinobu exclaimed as she jumped when the shark suddenly appeared on the screen. Giichi jumped a bit when the scene came "I didn't know you could say such foul words, Shinobu." Giichi teased at her to which she pouted "Give me a break. I can't keep my composure all the time." She replied before they continued to watch the movie. It finally came to the part where they decided to swim up to the surface with one of the sisters protecting the younger one. She used a flare to ward of the sharks. That was when suddenly a shark was coming at her when she flashed the flare in it's direction "Ahhh!" She screamed before turning around and clasping on to Giichi's shirt. He looked at her as she hid her face in his chest. He placed a hand on her head and stroke her hair to calm her down. Minutes later she did before turning back to watch the movie. 

The girls were now on the boat being treated since they had severe wounds. One of them looked at the cut on her arm as the blood started to float in the air which wasn't normal. Turns out that she was still in the cage and was suffering from brain damage and hallucinations due to inhaling nitrogen bubbles from her empty air tank. Her sister was never found as 3 professional divers came to her rescue with harpoon guns "Damn..." Giichi started "I feel bad for her sister." He said with a sad look. Shinobu hummed in agreement "What time is it?" She asked before looking at her phone. 6:54, it read. Shinobu stood up and headed towards the kitchen to which Giichi followed "You go sit down. I'll whip up some dinner." She said while grabbing the apron from the rack "No. I'll cook tonight if you don't mind. Its the least I could do for you since you let me stay here tonight." Giichi said while approaching her "Its fine. I invited you here anyways." She replied as she tied the apron around her waist "But I-" She cut him off with a kiss on the lips "You will wait over there." She said as she pointed to the dining table. Shinobu turned around as she started to gather ingredients for the dish she planned to make. Giichi didn't want to accept her answer. He grabbed her waist which caught her by surprise. He swiftly spun her around to face him before placing his hands on the counter behind her. He came closer until her lower back hit the cold counter. He bent down so that they were face to face. He then looked at her in the eye. She blushed at his actions "Please." He simply said before leaning his forehead against her's. Shinobu gulped down the lump that was once stuck in her throat with an audible 'gulp'. Giichi's hands then came behind her and untied the apron from her waist as it fell in his hands. He then backed away a bit before grabbing her hand and leading her to the dining table. He sat her down before folding the apron in half and tying it around his waist "Just wait for the food, Babe." He said with a smirk before winking at her and grabbing ingredients from her kitchen. Shinobu was still recovering from the things that just happened but decided to watch him cook.

He decided to make curry with rice and tempura. He grabbed some shrimp from the fridge and peeled their shell before grabbing some eggs, flour, and a bag of breadcrumbs. He did his thing as a curious Shinobu would occasionally peak over his shoulder "Seriously, you spoil me too much." She said as she rested her head on her left hand. He lightly scoffed "You don't like it?" He asked as he prepared a pan to deep fry the breadcrumb covered shrimp. Once he put them in the pan and covered it to avoid the oil to pop around, he turned to face her with a hand on his waist. He looked at her awaiting her answer and eventually cocked an eyebrow "T-That's not... I mean..." She trailed off, but Giichi still didn't get an answer. She fiddled with her thumbs "I-I do..." She replied before looking away with a deep blush. He smiled softly before washing his hands and patting them dry. He approached the blushing latter and planted a soft kiss on her temple that made her perk up "Of course you do." He whispered to her before going behind her to grab the cutting board and a knife. He chopped the necessary vegetables needed for the curry rice "Chicken or pork?" He asked her as he presented poultry meat and pig meat "Chicken." Shinobu said as she pointed to his right hand that held the frozen poultry. He nodded and placed the pork back in the freezer and filled a bowl of warm water to have the chicken defrost "While waiting for that to soften, I'll make the rice." He said before asking her where the rice was. She pointed to the cupboard on his upper left. He grabbed the bag and poured a generous amount into the rice cooker. He then poured one tablespoon of vinegar in it before turning the rice cooker on "Why'd you put vinegar?" She asked very much confused. He turned to her before continuing to make the curry "My mom used to say it prevented the rice from going bad for a while and it added flavor." He replied as he set a pot and poured the ingredients in before grabbing the curry powder and placing that in as well. He put the lid over it to let it cook. Giichi washed his hands and dried them before sitting on the chair across Shinobu. They decided to chat about a few things with Giichi occasionally checking on the food, but continued to talk and listen to her.
