Chapter 17: Friday

Tsutako yawned as she walked out of Tojuro's room and into the living room. They agreed that she would sleep on his bed while he slept on his couch. The sweet aroma of something coming hit her nostrils. She opened her eyes a bit before walking to the kitchen "Ah! Tsutako! Good Morning!" He greeted before turning back to the stove "Breakfast will be ready in a bit. I suggest you have some coffee. I made some over there." He continued before pointing to the end of the counter. Tsutako felt her heart melt as he was perfect. He could cook, he was good looking, he was gentlemanly! Everything she wished for "Thanks. You didn't have to do everything. I could've helped you." She said as she poured the coffee in the mug before looking at him. He shook his head before turning the stove off and facing her "I want to do this. You don't need to help. In addition, you're probably tired from work that's why you took a leave today." He said with a soft teeth smile at her. Tsutako felt her heart clench before she walked to the table as he placed their plates. They said their prayers before eating "You know, you and Giichi are somewhat similar." Tsutako started as the latter stared at her confused "You both love kendo, gentlemanly, can cook, and likes to spoil people." She explained as Tojuro nodded with a smile on his face "I guess we are, especially when we spoil people." He said as he took a sip from his mug of coffee "Would you mind elaborating?" Tsutako asked as she did the same. He hummed and swallowed before speaking up "I'll admit we do like spoiling people, but only a certain person." Tojuro smirked as he got up and put his plate in the sink. Tsutako tilted her head as she started to think "...!" Her eyes widened when she realized what he meant "Q-Quit it!" She said as she started punching Tojuro in the back "Quit what?" He teased through laughs as she continued hitting him "Quit spoiling you?" He asked as he caught both of her hands. She stayed silent with a blush on her face. He chuckled when he didn't receive a reply. He inched his face closer and planted a kiss on her temple "I'll bring you with me to practice. Go get ready. I asked my cousin if she had any spare clothes and she gave some to me for you to use." He said to her before backing away and to the couch "R-Right!" She said before dashing to his room and changing.

"Shinobu~" Giichi coed "Wake up~" He said before she started stirring in his bed. She slowly opened her eyes as she smelled a delicious aroma "Giichi... What's that smell? It's good." She said as she sat up and rubbed her eyes "Surprise." He said before placing a small wooden tray of breakfast on her lap "Breakfast in bed." He smiled as he took a seat in front of her "Woah! Giichi! You didn't have to!" Shinobu said as she looked up at him "Just eat up. I already ate. Say 'ahh'." He said as he raised a spoonful up to her mouth. She bit down on it and chewed happily "Seriously, I'll spoil you next time." She said as she swallowed. Giichi just chuckled at her "I'll be sure to spoil you even more." He said before handing her a mug of coffee before preparing another spoonful. The whole week went on like this. Tsutako told Giichi she would be at Tojuro's place as she stayed there for the week. Friday came as Shinobu and Giichi were now wearing their uniforms. Shinobu was deciding to wear a turtleneck or a button up shirt "Which one should I wear?" She asked as she was only in her bra while Giichi was buttoning up his uniform. He came over to her and grabbed the turtleneck "This ones better." He started "People will see the marks if you wear that." He said as he brushed his thumb over one of them "They take so long to come off, huh?" He said before giving her the turtleneck. She nodded as she slipped it on and tucked it into loose jeans and a black belt. She styled her hair and walked out to the living room where she waited for Giichi. He came out as she grabbed his tie from him and fixed under his collar. They grabbed their things before heading out the door "Excuse me?" The receptionist called at him "Would you happen to be Tomioka Giichi?" She asked as he nodded in reply. She pointed that the mechanics left his bike there early in the morning. He thanked her as they proceeded to his bike "Hey! They actually modified it!" Giichi exclaimed as he ran to his newly improved bike "Now you can sit more comfortably, Shinobu." He said as he patted the seat behind him. She smiled before getting on. They pedaled through the damp streets and made sure to take precaution from slipping. They passed by Giichi's school, but he biked past it. His schoolmates looked at him confused as he rode past their school. They arrived by the gate of Tokyo University as Shinobu jumped off. She thanked Giichi before pecking him on the lips "I'll see you later." He said before pedaling off. She felt the stares of her schoolmates on her, but brushed it off "Shinobu- chan!" Koyuki exclaimed as she pounced at Shinobu and hugged her "Koyuki- chan. Good Morning." She greeted with a laugh. Nakime followed as they walked down the halls and reached their classroom "Huh?" Koyuki said as they went to their seats "Something wrong, Koyuki- chan?" Nakime asked as the latter approached Shinobu. She sniffed around her before backing off "Did you change perfume today, Shinobu?" She asked as Shinobu shook her head before looking at her confused "Or did you change shampoo?" She once again asked as Shinobu shook her head. They all looked at her confused "Now that you mention it, you smell like lavender. Its not your usual honey and wisteria scent." Tamayo said as she sniffed the air near her. Shinobu, who was curious herself, sniffed her hair as it hit her 'This is Giichi's shampoo... and the lavender wash he uses for his clothes...' She thought as she felt her soul leave her body "I-Its nothing. You guys are just imagining things." She brushed off as she started sweating nervously.
