"Is Shinuzagawa- san driving you two there." Tsutako asked Kanae as they walked out of a cafe. They met there coincidentally, but decided to have a little chat "Yeah. It'll be a long drive." Kanae said as she took her last look at the cafe "You're moving tomorrow right?" Tsutako asked with a frown to which Kanae nodded. She pulled Kanae into a big embrace "I'll try to get in there by my second year in college. Tokyo University, right?" Tsutako asked as the latter hugged her back and replied with a hum "We're best friends forever, Tsutako- chan!" Kanae said as she let a tear slip down her cheek "Always and forever, Kanae- chan!" They broke their hug and said their goodbyes. Before they left, they promised to keep in touch with each other and keep telling stories about their lives.
"Shinobu, are you done packing?" She asked her younger sister as she passed her room "Uh yeah. Almost." She replied as she wiped the beads of sweat trickling down from her forehead. She lifted the box onto the counter and sealed it with tape. 'Shinobu' was written on the side of it as a note that it was her belongings "Shinobu, I have something I want to talk to you about." Kanae said as she stopped packing and walked up to her sister "What is it, Nee- San?" The younger replied with a smile, but it suddenly dispearsed as she saw her sister's serious face. Kanae gulped down hard on the lump in her throat "Have you told Giichi- kun yet?" She asked with a frown as she held Shinobu's shoulder. Shinobu looked down avoiding her sister's gaze and frowned "I haven't." She replied as she continued packing with her eyebrows furrowed. Kanae didn't reply and helped her seal some of the other boxes. The silence was very awkward and the tension was nerve wrecking. The silence was broken when Kanae had enough of it. She placed a box down and spoke "We leave at 2 pm tomorrow. You could say your farewell before we leave if you'd like." Kanae suggested with a soft smile 'I wonder what'll happen then.' She thought. Shinobu's face lit up at her idea "Really?!" She said as she grabbed her older sisters hands. Kanae nodded happily at her as she chuckled. That cleared the tension that was once upon them as they started chatting happily while packing the remaining things in their house. The day went by quickly and the darkness of night came. Shinobu was restless at the thought of seeing Giichi for the last time tomorrow. She stared at the moon through the window, admiring it's subtle shine. A message notification caught her attention as she checked her phone.
G: Good evening, Shinobu Nee- San!
S: Good evening, Giichi- kun!
G: I was planning on going to the arcade tomorrow.
G: And I was wondering if you'd like to come with me.Shinobu smiled for a bit at his offer, but it soon turned into a frown at the thought that she was leaving tomorrow.
S: What time?
G: Around 11. I still have kendo tomorrow so Nee- San told me to go earlier.
G: Do you wanna go?Shinobu hesitated a bit 'I'll get to spend some more time with him if I do.' She contemplated in her head 'Nee- San said I could say my farewells tomorrow.' She thought before finally coming to a conclusion.
S: Sure! Where should we meet?
G: In front of the Kamado Bakery since it's near there.
G: Its settled then! See you tomorrow, Shinobu Nee- San!
G: Goodnight!
S: Goodnight, Giichi- kun!She replied before turning her phone off and continued to stare at the moon "The moon is lovely tonight." She mumbled as she continued gazing at it. She wasn't the only one who stared at the moon through their window. Giichi stared at the moon with the thought of Shinobu's eyes. They glowed the same and it lit up his darkness. He smiled continuing to think about their "date" tomorrow "The moon sure is beautiful." He whispered into the night. His eyes began to flutter. He climbed into bed before falling asleep with a satisfied smile.
"Ara Ara, Tomioka- san. Look at those two lovebirds." Kochou said as she clasped onto Tomioka's arm "I guess they'll be happy, but he'll be devastated first." He said expressionless. A vein popped on Kochou's forehead as her smile became dark "Ne Tomioka- san." She poked on his arm "Don't ruin my mood with those sad words of yours, alright?" She said as she heavily patted his shoulder "Its true. She'll be going away." He pointed while looking at her still expressionless. Her rage grew even more "This is why no one likes you, Tomioka- san." She said as she attempted to walk away, but she was pulled back as her head hit a hard chest. She was lifted up as he legs circled around a torso to not fall "Everyone except you." He said with a smile and chuckled. She blushed, but smiled and laughed lightly "Of course, everyone except me." Kochou replied as she slid her arms around his neck for support. She pulled him into a tender kiss to which he replied. They pulled away and leaned their foreheads against each other "Tomioka- san. You're not having other thoughts in mind, right?" She asked curiously. His expression shifted into a smirk "Do you want me to start thinking like that?" He asked as he pulled her even closer to him. Chest to chest there was no gap in between. She blushed madly before hitting him on the head and releasing herself from his grip. She put a bit of distance between them and covered her face "You could go to hell for those lewd thoughts of yours, Tomioka- san." She warned as she fixed her composure "You could've gone to hell too because you looked like a devil moments ago." He said as a tick appeared on her forehead before she began chasing him.
