Chapter 16: The Rain

"Nee- San's out early?" Giichi said as he finished buttoning up his shirt while checking his sister's room "I can't believe we're almost going to be late! Hurry, Giichi!" Shinobu said as she swiftly packed her thing. Giichi nodded and grabbed his tie along with his hoodie. He grabbed his bag, wore his shoes and dashed out the door with Shinobu "This was really a bad time to have my bike repaired." Giichi said as they ran hand in hand. The clouds started getting darker as they ran. There were many people out on the streets since it was a Monday which made the couple have a hard time getting to their school. They weren't even halfway through their route. Thunder crashed in the sky as droplets of rain started pouring. From light little drops that turned into large heavy ones. They ran to a nearby convenient store for shelter as the streets were instantly damped by the heavy rain. They had droplets all over their clothes, but not to the point that they were completely wet "Shit." Giichi said as they stared at how hard the rain poured. Giichi rummaged through his bag for an umbrella, but he hadn't brought it since the weather forecast said that it would be completely sunny today "Do you have an umbrella?" He turned to Shinobu as she too rummaged through her bag. She shook her head when she finished. They sighed before taking a seat at one of the tables "We can't get to school at this rate." Giichi started before looking down "I should've set an alarm. I'm sorry." He said before looking up to Shinobu with sorry eyes "No. Its no ones fault. Don't always take the blame. Okay, Giichi?" She said as she cupped his cheeks and spoke in a calm voice "I'll buy us some food." She said before standing up and buying two cup noodles. They said their prayers before digging in. They talked as they waited for the rain to calm down. To their dismay, it didn't "Oh my. This is quite the storm." The old lady at the counter said as she looked out the window "Would you two like some towels? You two could get sick." She offered with a soft smile. They thanked her as they started rubbing the towels on their heads and faces "My ribbon is soaked." Shinobu said as she pulled the red cloth away from her hair and letting her gradient locks fall to her shoulders. Giichi looked at her wet hair. The purple highlights at the end of her hair stood out more. He shook his head and proceeded to rub his head.

"We can't stay here for the whole day." Shinobu said as she finished and folded the slightly damp towel neatly "My house is a block after that corner." Giichi pointed as they started thinking of how to get home "We could possibly make it if we run." Shinobu suggested as she placed her hand on her chin "Possibly. We could try it." Giichi said before getting up and buying the umbrella the store had.

"The rain is really coming down heavy." Tsutako said as she placed her hand on the window pane "How'll you get home, Tsutako- chan?" Her colleague asked as she just shrugged her shoulders. Her gaze suddenly caught upon a familiar car park in front of their building before a certain fiery haired guy ran out and into the entrance of her office. Tsutako placed both her hands on the pane as her eyes followed him "Something wrong, Tsutako- chan?" Her friend asked as she suddenly ran to the door of their office, but their receptionist was there already "Someone's here to see you, Tomioka- san." She said before walking off and revealed a Tojuro dressed in soaked black clothes "Tojuro! What are you doing here?! Your soaked!" Tsutako said as she pulled him into her office. Her fellow colleagues stared at them "They called off our training early in the morning so I planned to come see you, but it started raining." He explained as Tsutako grabbed a towel from their locker room "You didn't have to. You'll get sick." She calmly scolded as he just chuckled before she started rubbing the top of his head with the towel "But I just really wanted to see you." He smiled brightly as she stopped rubbing and felt a blush creep on her cheeks "Q-Quit teasing me!" Tsutako said as she continued drying him "Psst. Tsutako- chan." One of her friends called "Is he your boyfriend?" She asked as Tsutako blushed even darker. She never got the chance to answer as Tojuro cut her off when he peaked his head "No. We aren't in that kind of relationship." He started as Tsutako nodded "Not yet at least." He continued confidently before Tsutako chocked on her words. She just kept silent as her colleagues started feeling fuzzy inside "If you'll excuse me." Tsutako said before pulling Tojuro with her into her work space. They entered a room with glass doors and windows that was labeled 'Executive Assistant: Tomioka Tsutako' It read in front "Woah! You're an executive assistant?" Tojuro asked as she sat him down on the chair in her office before closing the door "Yeah." She sighed "You just stay there okay?" She said before massaging her temple. Tojuro stood up "If you're tired just tell me." He said before pushing her down on the chair he once sat in "You're a tease most of the time you know." She said as she continued to massage her temple "Am I?" He said before nearing her and putting his right knee beside her thigh and placing both his hands on each armrest of the chair to corner her. His face was inches away from her "Am I that big of a tease to you, Tsutako?" He asked with a sly smirk on his face. Tsutako fell silent as she just tried to back up, but she was completely out of escape options. Her colleagues could see what was happening in her office as they tried their best to ignore it. Some blushed as they saw their position and others started shipping the two. Tsutako took a deep breath before softly pushing Tojuro's chest and he backed up a bit. She looked inot his fiery eyes with the same level of confidence he had. She completely pushed him off of her before pulling him onto the chair and switching their position. Her knee came in between his legs as she grabbed the collar of his shirt "You aren't the only one who can do this." She smirked before backing off and landing on the chair behind her desk "I have work to do. Sorry." She kindly said before scanning through documents in a file folder 'Damn this woman is driving me crazy.' Tojuro thought as he slouched in his chair.
