"Good morning, everyone! It is now 7 a.m. and nighttime is officially over! Time to rise and shine! Get ready to greet another beee-yutiful day in your despairingly dreary killing game life!"
Jiro sighed heavily as he forced himself to get up. Hearing that announcement every single day was seriously taking its toll on him.
-
7:30 am.
Jiro still remained in his room. He just didn't feel the need to leave. He just sat at his desk, holding his head in his hands.
"Come on, Jiro...you have to remember something about your life. Who's your parents? How did you get your talent? What led you to want to join Soaring Heights?"
He felt like the wall were closing in around him. This killing game wasn't over. Even after all those who died. As the days stretched on, he felt like he was loosing more and more of his sanity.
Everyone was just as worried as him. He noticed that Mizuki wouldn't tell jokes when they weren't need anymore, and Itsuki wasn't as sparkly-eyed as normal. Haku has avoided any unwanted conversations with anyone.
Gin would constantly be wandering around, like he was simply lost. And even Guren didn't seem to speak of her god as much.
And for Kaze? He really didn't know.
Jiro lifted his head from the desk and glancing at the door.
'Maybe I should go out. They might be worried about me...'
A sudden, but gentle knock on the door broke him out of his thoughts.
"Y-yes?" He called out.
"Jiro. May I talk with you?" Itsuki's voice came from the other side of the door, but something was definitely off about it.
Jiro got to his feet, walking to the door before he opened it for the tailor. On the taller boys shoulders lay the black cat.
At first, Jiro was reluctant to allow the animal into his room, but he didn't really want to separate it from Itsuki.
"Come in." The criminologist said, moving out of the way.
Itsuki nodded and entered the room. Jiro was impressed by how unaffected the cat was when the boy started moving. Not even when he sat down on the couch.
"So, what did y-you want to talk about?" He asked, sitting down on the edge of his bed.
"Jiro....are you certain that we have never met before awakening on this island?" The tailor asked.
"I....I don't know...my memories still haven't returned yet." Jiro admitted.
The cat slipped off of Itsuki's shoulders and settled down in his lap. The taller boy unconscious began petting the feline.
"I do not mean to accuse you of anything, Jiro. But every time that I am around you, can feel an overwhelming sensation. Like someone had crudely mixed together hope and despair."
Listening closely, Jiro found that he was speechless. Did the others think this about him as well?
"Jiro? Esta bien? I am sorry if I offended you with my words." Itsuki said.
"N-n-no it's not that...it's just...I'm not sure why, but I feel like I'm not really who I think I am. I feel like I'm walking around with a body that isn't my own."
Itsuki stared back at the black haired boy.
"You do? Well maybe it is just a side effect of your amnesia." He offered.
