Mizuki Rai: Final Moments:
Mizuki looked up at the stone ceiling. She felt nothing but pain. The spikes had impaled her in every lethal way you could imagine.
She simply decided to just lay there, in the pool of her own blood. There was nothing she could do now. She had done everything within her power to make it out of this god forsaken maze.
But it just wasn't enough.
'Damnit...Damnit Damnit Damnit! Why do I have to die like this?!'
Mizuki hissed in pain as she tried to move. But the blood that was under her made it nearly impossible.
Her hand slipped and she hit the ground again, crying softly.
'Am I really gonna die like this?...what about my classmates...what about...'
The girl couldn't help but cry at the hopelessness of the entire situation. She reached out with her bloodied hands and tried to drag herself. Anywhere at all would be a better place to die than this.
'I want to live...I want to make people smile. If there is any god out there...please...don't let me die here...'
Her vision was clouded with both blood and tears. She had barely moved a foot away from where she lay before.
It was then that she heard footsteps. Soft footsteps. They grew closer to her, making her look up.
"....Jiro...." her voice was bubbly, trying to make words through her lungs filled with blood.
The boy stared down at her. Once their eyes met, she knew.
This was no longer Jiro Kinoshita.
"You must be...Mizuki. Nice to finally meet you, Class President." A low chuckle came after the remark.
"I would...say the same...but...you're the reason...that in here...right now..." she rasped.
"Am I? You must be mistaken, girl. It wasn't me who pushed you into this hell. That was all the other me. I only gave him a helpful nudge after I was awoken once again." The boy said, standing right above the girl.
"You won't...win. My classmates...they'll defeat you..." she said.
"Your classmates? Oh. I'm afraid they're far too gone to put up any resistance. In fact, they fell into despair because you couldn't make it out of here."
Mizuki widened her eyes.
"No...you're lying..."
"Who knows if I am. It's not like you'll be alive long enough to see if I'm right." He laughed loudly. "Its sad. To see the girl that meant so much to them, dying with tears in her eyes instead of a smile on her face."
The comedian felt her vision begin to spiral. Her body was becoming too weak for her to move now. She couldn't feel anything anymore.
"This sucks..." she mumbled.
"I disagree. This is the best show I've had in many many years. That lovely look of despair in your eyes. You were supposed to be the hope for your classmates, but here you are, falling into despair. I could cry. If only I cared. Hahahahaha!!" His laugh echoed around the empty walls.
Mizuki could stop the few tears that fell from her eyes.
Truly...this was all so hopeless...and she could do absolutely nothing about it.
"Hey...Jiro..."
"Hm? Are you still calling me that?"
"No...I'm talking...to Jiro...." She took a shaky breath in. "I don't know...if you...can hear me...but just know....I forgive you...and...I hope....you can fix....all of this.....please...."
As the final word left her mouth, the last light of life drained from her eyes, and her body fully slumped down, unmoving.
The boy was staring at the deceased girl with wide eyes. He couldn't understand it. Why would this girl even try to talk to the other him when he no longer existed?
That's when he felt it. A single tear, slide down his face, and hit the floor. Followed by another. And then another.
"...what?"
He began laughing as he touched his tearstained face.
"Amazing. You truly have amazing powers, Class President. To have awoken a part of me that I had already rid of. It's amazing! Amazing!! AMAZING!!!!" He clawed at his tear ducts until they started to bleed.
His maniacal laugher could be heard echoing down the lonely corridors.
