"So. Any idea why she suddenly passed out?" Mizuki asked, laying the girl down on the infirmary bed.
"I...don't know..." he murmured, still trying to process what he had learned just minutes prior.
Mizuki raised an eyebrow, as if expecting him to continue. But he didn't. He eyes only remained fixed on the floor.
"Mhm? Alright then." She said.
"Hey....Mizuki...?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you ever...just...feel like you're pretending to be someone that you aren't?" He asked, lifting his head to look at the girl.
"Huh? What's with the sudden question? That's some really deep stuff, too." She pointed out, straightening up and placing a hand on her hip.
"Sorry...it's just...lately I've been having these weird dreams. It's showing me parts o-of a life that's not m-mine." He said, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Sounds like island madness." Mizuki joked, but one look from Jiro made it apparent that he was not in the mood for jokes. "Well, if it's any consolation, I've been having weird dreams too. Everyone we met here was in them, and we were living out our lives like normal Ultimates in Soaring Heights High School. Pretty weird huh?"
Jiro blinked. "I've...been having similar dreams. Where we all are just classmates." He said, sounding confused. "I wonder if it means something..." he murmured.
"You're probably overthinking it."
"I....always overthink things." He stated.
"Can't argue with that." Mizuki said, chuckling.
"It still doesn't make sense. We should ask the others if they've been having dreams like those. I don't know what it all means but...I have a feeling that we're part of something....much bigger..."
For a moment, Jiro thought his eyes were playing tricks on him, because he saw a small spark of fear in Mizuki's eyes. But it was gone before he even blinked.
It probably wasn't real. Yeah. That's what he'll believe.
"So, anyways, wanna know the status on the cat?" She asked, rather hurriedly changing the subject.
"Ugh. No thanks. I'd prefer if that thing stayed outside." He grumbled.
"Aw come on, Jiro. It's just a cat. It's not like it's gonna place a curse on you and eat your firstborn child." She said.
"First of all, that's impossible. Second of all, that doesn't make me like it any better." He said.
The comedian giggled softly.
"Well, in any case I-"
"Attention all students! Please assemble in the ballroom for a very 'special' announcement from yours truly."
Both Mizuki and Jiro shared the same look after the announcement played over the intercom.
"That can't be good."
-
3:30 pm.
"Alrighty, is everyone here? Hm? It seems we're still missing one." Monokuma pointed out.
"Isukama-san is...incapacitated at the moment." Jiro explained.
"Why?" Gin asked.
"It's a...long story..." he murmured.
"Well, I don't care. Since I'm in a generous mood, I'll let one of you inform her later. Now, lets get down to business! I have called you all here today to tell you that one of you....is a traitor! That's right! One of you is a spy sent in by Future Foundation! A foundation hellbent on ending the world!"
