A couple of the students glanced around the trial room. Some gears and such were exposed from the wall. Perhaps it was still in the making?
Mizuki cleared her throat.
"God damn I forgot what I was saying." She said, chuckling after a long pregnant pause.
"That's because you haven't even said anything. Idiot." Benjiro scoffed.
"Well, no need to be such a downer, Toy R' Us." Mizuki said, smirking as she heard a couple of her classmates laugh or try to hide their laughing.
The comedian felt a bit of pride swelling up.
"I hate to interrupt, but we should probably start." Haku said, crossing her arms.
Mizuki chuckled awkwardly and nodded.
"Um, r-right right. Sorry. So um...how about we start with everyone's alibi's? The Monokuma File thingy says that the murder took place around 6:30 - 7:30 pm."
"Me and Kinoshita-san left the infirmary around 6:50. Nekoshara-san was still alive and well at this time." Gin informed them.
"So then everyone should state where they were from at least 7:00 to 7:30." Hiroto said.
"Well I was in the dining hall till the body discovery announcement went off." Mizuki chided.
"It's true! Rai-san was helping me clean up after my beloved students." Monokitty pipped up.
"No one asked you, Looney Toons!" Monokuma growled as a single punch launched the mechanical cat across the trial room.
"Waahh!! That hurt!"
"Uh...ignoring that, I was strapped to the bed in the infirmary for what I can assume to be awhile, so I couldn't have done such a thing, since I was immobilized." Benjiro huffed out bitterly.
"My flawless memory is failing me. I can only recall small snippets of the torment I went through while baring your blasphemous mortal disease." Chiyo spoke lowly.
At least someone had been kind enough to replace her bandage with an eyepatch. In any sense, it suited her. Even if her eye was useless now.
"Um...does that mean you don't remember much or...?" Leiko asked, quizzically.
"Hmph. Fools. The lot of you. My recollection only shows me moment in which the other mortals have awoken me. Such as the possessed one who screamed with the wails of the damned." The woodcarver said, pointing towards Benjiro.
"Ara ara~ it seems like our memories are shared. I too remember being woken up by such awful screaming." Guren said. "But I don't remember anything about my behavior during this either."
"We're getting off track." Nao interrupted.
Mizuki perked up again. "Uh, what were we taking about originally?" She asked, earning herself some incredulous stares.
"The alibis." Haku said.
"Anyways! To state my alibi during this time, I was in the dining hall with everyone till I left with Jiro and Gin!" Itsuki popped in.
"So that clears those two who were with you as well then." Hiroto said.
"If dinner started at 7 and Nekoshara-san was...m-murdered not even thirty minutes later, than the culprit must be whoever didn't show up to the dining hall." Leiko deduced.
Gin shifted.
'Why do I feel the urge to shout my opinion?' Mizuki wondered.
"I agree with you!"
