Jiro took a deep breath. It was time again.

It was time for him to solve this case. Looking around the trial room, he saw how few of them remained.

"Alright. To start, I think we can rule out those who stayed in the mansion. As long as they can say that they saw each other the whole time." He began.

"Did anyone disappear from anyone's sight at any point?" Mizuki asked.

"Well, Isukama-san did go missing at one point but it couldn't have been anymore than a minute before we found her in the library." Haku said.

"Isukama-san, why were you in the library?" The criminologist asked.

"Well, I was walking along when I saw a flash of red disappear through the library doors. Jizo-sama urged me to follow it, so I did. But when I got inside, there was nothing. However, I thought I saw one of the bookshelves move, so I went to see it. That's when everyone came in, looking for me." Guren explained.

Jiro nodded and placed his hand under his chin.

"If it's alright, I think it's easy to rule out me as the possible murderer since I was chained to the wall and well...I-I could barely function..." He said, awkwardly.

"Fair enough." Mizuki agreed.

"Now that leaves only a few options. Me, Mizuki-san, Ookami-san, and Namida-san." Gin stated.

"What about the victim?" Haku asked.

"Shigeru-kun was also chained to the wall, so he couldn't have been able to kill himself. Especially not in a way like that." Jiro answered.

"Understood." Haku mumbled.

"Now we've narrowed down the list by a lot. So, l-let's switch gears and talk about how Shigeru-kun died." Jiro instructed.

"It is blatantly obvious that this killer merely cut his throat." Chiyo pointed out.

"Yeah. Jiro found a shard of glass on the ground that could've been used to make a clean cut." Mizuki added.

"There was nothing that was covering the victims mouth, so why didn't Mizuki hear him call for help, if she heard his chains rattling?" Gin wondered.

"I've got it!"

"When the killer cut the victims throat, I determined that they cut deep enough to damage the vocal cords, preventing them from screaming

"When the killer cut the victims throat, I determined that they cut deep enough to damage the vocal cords, preventing them from screaming." He said

"Ara~? How do you know that, Jiro-chan?" Guren asked.

"I-it's my talent. I maybe not be a detective, b-but I've seen crimes like this before." He defended himself.

"Very well then."

"So the victim was unable to cry for help. So that is perhaps why Mizuki heard the chains rattling, as a last resort to get someones attention before he died." Itsuki concluded.
