After climbing back onto the loft, she let out a laugh, looking over at Joe. "Did I pull it off this time?"
"You spoke a bit quickly, but I do that anyway. I would say you pulled it off." Joe said, nodding in approval.
"Being you..is wild. Still not sure how I'm gonna deal with Liam." she smiled.
"You must not have noticed him. He was kinda quiet...was Liam even at the table?"
"Yeah he was, but he was mainly talking to your dad" she shrugged. "Didn't really pay attention to me. I just stuck to talking to your mom."
"Good. Who knows what would've happened if my dad started talking to you." He said, sighing in relief. He picked up her phone and flipped the camera, pointing it to a drawing of Timothy. It actually looked decent, as if he had improved his art skills. If he really did though, Madi was proud.
"Looks good Joe, or should I say, Madi." she joked. Joe scoffed and flicked her wrist.
"Why thank you, Joe. I spent a lot of effort on this. Isn't it lovely?" He put his hand underneath the sketchbook, pretending to show it off...in which he was, just in a mocking manner.
"Also Joe..has Maya gotten back to you?" she questioned. He shook his head. "No, not yet. I have no idea what she would be doing."
Then, by complete chance, there was a buzz. Joe looked at the phone and raised his eyebrows.
"Wait! I got a notification! Wait wait wait..."
They both leaned into their phones, eager for that text message. But Madi could sense the disappointment on his face, even if he was in her body.
"God dammit Maya, for the second time...that wasn't her. Just a weather notification."
"Dang. Not surprising though because I don't get notifications much anymore."
"It is kinda late...we'll give her some time, and if she doesn't answer, we'll try again tomorrow."
"I just hope we can fix things soon, I don't want to be stuck as you forever." She laughed.
"Not that I don't still find it entertaining that we switched bodies for god knows how long."
Joe was quick to put a smirk on his face. Even through Madi's face, Madi could recognize that smirk from anywhere.
"Joe.. what are you about to do..."
"Oh no, I'm not about to do anything, but just think about what you just said. Think about it." He continued to smirk, letting out low giggles.
"Well shit." she facepalmed, laughing a bit, even though she still didn't quite get what he was implying.
"D-Did you get the joke? You probably didn't, did you?"
"I semi understand, but not completely." she shrugged. Joe smiled and combed the brown hair from his face.
"Good. Don't worry about it, you're too pure. You need to stay pure."
"I guess you're right." She smiled, shrugging it off. She then pointed at the drawing and tried to look at it again through the phone. "Going back to the situation, what are we going to write? Timothy looks a bit scared, if that's what he is."
"That's a good question...what to make him say..."
They both sat there, thinking about it. Neither of them knew how this character talked, nor his personal life, or anything of the sort. He was just Timothy to them, a blonde tribal looking man that was apparently angry at Chronos in the picture he was drawn in.
And most likely to him, Madi and Joe were just humans.
